I've been dabbling in learning to paint with acrylics lately, and I have this old flat glass pickle/veggie tray I've been carting around for years but never used. Turns out, it makes an awesome pallet for paint! 🤣Acrylic paint comes off of glass easily without damaging it and I'm finally getting use out of it since I'm not fancy enough to actually put out pickle/veggie trays when people come over! 😂 People often seem to find it surprising that I haven't dabbled in fine art things too much before, since I'm a graphic designer, but I fully believe it's never to late to pick up a new hobby. I also think it's important for all designers, to work on personal or side projects in their "spare" time. It helps exercise abstract thinking, strengthens creative muscles, helps to get you out of/or from falling into a creative rut, and at least for me it allows me think about using texture differently. What kind of hobby/side/or personal projects are you working on lately? #graphicdesign #createawesome #design #art #creativity #hobby #sideproject #acrylicpainting #learningtopaint
