i think some of yall love the concept and the idea of adrian but if someone with his actual traits and suspected disorders were to stand in front of you right now you would not give them the time of day and that's where i'm different <3

i love adrian chase and i think low empathy sociopaths deserve love, attention and respect just like all human beings but let’s also remember this man does Kill You If You Do Graffiti. like. let’s not pretend this is a classic case of me-no-likey-neurodivergent people

i think the show does a great job of highlighting some potentially desirable traits due to aspd (possessiveness, obsessiveness, loyalty come to mind) but it's also sanitising the disorder by downplaying the difficult to deal with traits and/or referencing them for laughs

i think that people liking adrian is kind of the point, he's written to be a lovable sidekick. at the same time i don't think it's really an accurate portrayal of what it is actually like to be close ('close') to someone with aspd at all

i don't particularly love it when people infantilize neurodivergent characters (whether canon/implied or fanon) but i think it would be a lot funnier if the peacemaker fandom babied john economos instead of adrian chase
