One of my fav scenes in the novel is when WWX takes a moment to collect himself by the river in Dafan mountain, at the beginning. I found it so intimate and personal, a moment of solitude before hell breaks lose again. Coincidentally it’s done in ink (digitally) but it’s not an Inktober thing. I decided I wanted the mountain, the river and the forest in a more ‘chinese inking painting’ style but I’m not sure I did the job right ahah but that’s why they are pictured in 3 different panels.
