The most terrifying man in Hollywood was bisexual, married to a bisexual woman, and served on the board of PFLAG - and almost nobody talks about it.

As if I needed another excuse to love Vincent Price other than his great lifetime performances on the silver screen and elsewhere! 😀💜

Vincent Price is remembered for that legendary voice and those iconic horror performances, but far fewer people know that he was bisexual - something his daughter Victoria confirmed years after his death.

His third wife, actress Coral Browne, was also bisexual, making them one of old Hollywood's most quietly iconic queer couples.

But Price didn't just live his truth privately. He publicly opposed Anita Bryant's anti-gay crusade in the 1970s and joined the board of PFLAG when his daughter came out. In an era when that kind of visibility could end a career, he chose to show up anyway.

The master of horror passed away in 1993, but on his birthday, we remember his legacy as a quiet queer trailblazer who deserves to be remembered just as loudly as that iconic voice.

Did Peter Cushing, Vincent Price, and Christopher Lee ever celebrate their birthdays together?

Cushing was born on May 26. Price and Lee were both born on May 27.

If these three ever ended up in the same room with birthday cake, wine, and dramatic lighting, it was probably the classiest horror party in film history.

They appeared together in Scream and Scream Again and later in House of the Long Shadows, which is probably the closest cinema ever came to putting the whole gothic council in one room 🍷
