and this species has never eaten salad before. and we show them salad and they eat it and they’re like holy living fuck this is tasty. and suddenly they’re offering us huge houses with all kind of advanced technological shit and incredible medical care and all the amenities and everything, with the only condition that we keep making salad for them.

and like, salad isn’t even hard to make. grab some plants, dump em in a bowl. it doesn’t have to be fancy salad, they’ll fall all over themselves for the most mediocre salad in the world. we can make so much salad that we’re practically drowning in it, even if we eat some of the salad ourselves. and in exchange we’re protected from danger, we have great living conditions, it’s basically paradise compared to life on earth

💘 Fairy Tail + main couples

Bruh, NaLu got strongly implied and that’s a fact. Not a matter of choice.

For starters, Mashima had Natsu admit that he liked Anna merely because she smelled like Lucy, which made even Gajeel-Imma-be-a-daddy-Redfox freaking blush!

And then we had Lucy be Mashima’s mouth and talk about the romantic relationships of FT, she listed: Gajevy (whom she said she was sorta envious of, and whom got confirmed to have a baby in the wait/canon), Gruvia (whom she said got along really well/aka are canon), ElfEver (which she said she “supported” and are thus canon), and then denied stuff like Miraxus, Laxus/Lisanna and Laxana. 

Then the three-canon-ships streak started again with JErza, Jellal got freed and Erza started happily “brushing her hair everyday”, strongly implying a blossoming relationship (we know they in love but they still need to get used to being allowed to be in love which is prolly why we didn’t immediately jump to their wedding), Zervis that apparently got reincarnated and had it’s “fateful encounter”  in Lucy’s party and obv has a long romantic future waiting ahead of it now (they met in august again too, so maybe if they married and had kids properly this time, August would be born to them again?), and lastly, NaLu, those two pages canonize them damn hard tbh:

At first, they may seem like a mere parallel to that chapter one scene, but if you read them properly, then you’d realize that it’s not true.

Lucy actually thought that Natsu was going to kiss her for a second, that’s why she got all “Eh- Wai- Hmmmm” and then “Heeh?!” when she got dragged for work instead. She admitted that she expected a kiss/”something interesting” and was visibly disappointed when she didn’t get it/got the usual drag to work instead. She likes Natsu romantically and wants to be in a relationship with him, she wanted him to kiss her, but he didn’t, which could’ve been translated as a rejection/friendzone, IF NATSU DIDN’T FREAKING REPLY WITH: “It’s ok. [Because] We’ll be together forever from now on!” which can easily mean: It’s OK/no need to be disappointed, as we’ll be together forever and thus, still have our entire life ahead of us for that stuff (kisses)!” or something of that sort

So basically, we got Lucy’s feelings confirmed, Natsu learned them, and accepted them, but in his own way. Has he said nothing about staying together forever, NaLu’d been friendzoned hard. But it didn’t. 

Now while I’m more or less confident about my opinion, Imma make an update once the mangastream and cruncyroll translations get out in case I needed to, and then it’ll be up for Mashima to explain the way he really intended the NaLu scene to be taken. He’s def commenting on it and I doubt he’s gonna disappoint his fans.

Why I LOVED the Fairy Tail Ending:

The fact that Mashima took the time to allude the very beginnings, middles, and the continuation of their relationship made perfect sense to me. He dragged her away, in the very same way he dragged her (literally) back to Fairy Tail THREE TIMES (now four), and told her they’d always be together. 

I’ve stated millions of times that the reason I love Fairy Tail, and all stories, is that everything is up to the reader’s interpretation unless explicitly noted. The statement “We’ll always be together” means different things each person, and I feel it suits their relationship. No matter what Natsu, Happy, and Lucy will always be together. To exclude Happy would be one of the worst things Mashima could do, he’s as a part of their family as Lucy is. 

I loved the ending of Fairy Tail because Nalu wasn’t overly forced. The ending wasn’t a cliche kiss or wedding (and I am the queen of loving cliches don’t get me wrong), but it was so NALU. To expect Natsu to suddenly be making out and having babies with Lucy would be completely out of character for him (and out of character for Lucy to be honest. She comes off experienced and totally all about it, but I see through her facade). Romance isn’t all about kisses, getting married, and having children. Sometimes it’s the little things, instead of the big things, that the author sprinkles throughout the series that make the ship what it is. We’ve all made lists about our favorite Nalu moments, and why we love them, and it’s very clear that those should still all be taken into account despite how upset many of you are about the ending. (I’m not going to share all of these moments because this post is already getting too long)

A house isn’t just four walls and one room. It’s got to have a firm foundation to build upon, otherwise it will ultimately fail and collapse. Despite how long this series has been going on, I feel that Mashima leaving this as an open ending was his way of setting the foundation for their future relationship. By this I mean this first series for Fairy Tail in general, and their series of moments throughout the series. 

My final thoughts on this: Mashima himself tweeted awhile ago that he still had various projects in the works for Fairy Tail after this main story ends. This would include the continuation of the anime in 2018 I would assume, and whatever else it includes is still up in the air. So while many questions may still seem unanswered right now, the fact that he left it as an open ending is actually to his benefit. It leaves him with more space to grow and continue the series if wishes to in the future. 

I will end this post with my way of saying a big THANK YOU!! to not only Hiro Mashima for providing a wonderful story, but to everyone who has included me so kindly in this fandom. I have appreciated every single one of you, and I will continue to contribute as much as I can to the fandom even though the series is technically over. Have an absolutely beautiful day <3

Fairy Tail Chapter 545 Ending

Well the Korean Raw’s for Fairy Tail released. I want to say one thing. ONE THING. Basically the ships all did canon if you think about it, well we don’t know about Jerza. We know how Hiro is with the Jerza already anyways.

GRUVIA is canon. Basically what happened was Juvia was drunk and started stripping. Gray began to drag her out of the party and he left with her. Gray then talks about their double suicide they did together and then randomly he said, “I guess….maybe, you’re mine.” and he was BLUSHING. LITERALLY BLUSHING. I find it so cute, how he was blushing.

GAJEVY is canon. Basically at the party for Lucy’s book (Yes Lucy released that book finally and she got a award) Levy had slight tears in her eyes and Lucy said she heard the word Baby. Gajeel blushed hard and Levy was too. Levy is pregnant, with what is probably the twins from the light novel we all know of.

NALU is canon. You all probably aren’t liking how nalu ending was but basically, we haven’t gotten all the english translations yet. Once we get them of course we find out more about that scene but I do have one thing and this is the ENGLISH TRANSLATED DIALOGUE:

Natsu does say “We will be together from now on too!”

Lucy was also jealous of how close Gajeel and Levy were. In the chapter it seemed like she started crying thinking about Natsu meaning, she indeed was in love with him it seemed and she wanted a relationship and… he granted her it.
