Anti-trans pundits keep accusing me of “redefining womanhood” so I’m going to roll with it. However, I still believe in justice for both real women and cis women. Just because a cis woman didn’t spend years thinking about her gender doesn’t mean she’s not as valid as trans women. Cis women are only being their authentic selves and deserve support too. They even sometimes go through their own gender journeys with fashion, media, and experimentation. I see no reason why we can’t support our female cisters, who are just like us despite being assigned female at birth by a doctor. Feminism means respecting all women: actual women and cis women alike.

Yes it is! If you call yourself a trans women it assumes you are wanting to transition/ transitioning already from male to female hence the prefix “trans” meaning across. You would not need the prefix trans if you were assigned female at birth.

Just like how te “bi” prefix means two but our definition of bisexuality has changed with our understanding of nonbinary gender, “trans” has evolved from meaning “across” (a definition rooted in a binary understandimg of gender) to meaning “not exactly your assigned gender. As I’ve said before, if I, an amab person, can call myself a nonbinary woman, so can an afab person.

I think sexuality is based on gender not sex. Trans sexual is people that identify as a different sex then they were assigned at birth but also have a medical condition requiring them to change their physical sex traits to match this. Non binary is different then trans sexual because they identify as a different gender but without the medical need to change their sex traits hence why we have a different term and different experiences. I mean you can be non binary i will respect your pronouns but your not trans sexual.
