She ran.
She actually thought she could run. That those trembling little legs would carry her far enough.
Adorable.
She escaped the castle, yes. I let her.
I wanted her to taste the cold, to feel the illusion of freedom in her lungs — just long enough for it to matter when I take it back
They never learn.
You don’t run from me. You don’t hide from me. You prolong the inevitable.
And when I find her — and I Will —
I won’t just feed.
I’ll savor.
I want her to feel every second of it.
Every inch of her body realizing she was never anything more than a passing indulgence I decided to remember.
Because I NEVER don’t lose prey.
