"....You look familiar." - tigerlily-cookie

“You… look familiar too….”  the princess said softly, a bit of surprise showing on her features.   This lady reminded her a bit of her sister,but it couldn’t be the same person, could it?

“Who are you?”  the girl asked quietly, feeling curious, but also a bit anxious, for some reason.

“It didn’t look like a jungle back then. It was kept neat until the collapse, but when it stopped being tended to.. Everything became overgrown.” Lily rubbed her nose with her thumb and shrugged.

“I don’t know why, but.. The place is very nostalgic to me.”

“Yes, that’s understandable...”  she said quietly, looking down a little.  She was silent for a few moments... it made her a bit sad, to think about the old palace.  There were times were she really missed it.

“It’s nostalgic to me too... I used to live there, with my family.   At least you were able to find a place and a home there still...”

“Yes you are, I can hear it in your voice.”  Fire Spirit nodded, “Besides, you seem to fit the whole princess stereotype, well at least the younger princess stereotype.”

“But that’s my secret.”  He winked at her, “It’s kind of like how magicians don’t give away their secrets!”

“Well... as they always say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover.   I’m more than just some pretty little princess, you know.” 

She was quite proud of the fact she could say that... though, she was probably a bit overconfident about herself, too.

“I suppose that makes sense.  But I don’t get why you wouldn’t just say it, though.  That’s boring... I want to know more!”

“You… look familiar too….”  the princess said softly, a bit of surprise showing on her features.   This lady reminded her a bit of her sister,but it couldn’t be the same person, could it?

“Who are you?”  the girl asked quietly, feeling curious, but also a bit anxious, for some reason.

Lily smiled a bit to try and diffuse the awkward feeling in the air, especially since this other girl was trying to make conversation. She looked so damn familiar, it was starting to bother Lily. “Thank you. I’ve hunted for as long as I can remember, I probably am a bit ragged.”

She grinned, but not too much, usually showing her sharp teeth intimidated others. “No, I live in the jungle. Next to the ruins of the former castle.”

“Oh? Yes, the castle...”   she said softly, remembering.   It had been forever since she had lived in that old castle... she was a bit surprised someone else actually remembered it.

“I had no idea there had been a jungle by the castle... I guess I haven’t seen that old castle in so long, I must have forgotten.”

“Well that’s rude, I don’t ask you why you look like a snot nosed brat princess.”  He crossed his arm and made his hair flare up a bit, just to show it just didn’t look like it.

“And I am entirely made of fire, your royal highness.”

“Hmph! I am not a snot nosed brat!”  she huffed, putting her hands on her hips.  She flinched a small bit when he made his hair flare up... this was something she hadn’t seen before.  But she was curious too, she wondered why he could do that.

“How can you entirely be made of fire? I’ve never heard of such a thing... how is that even possible?”  if it wasn’t for him making his hair flare up like that, she probably wouldn’t believe it.

Tiger Lily carefully examined this girl. Her eyes made her remember something.. A faded memory, but.. “…Tiger Lily. I’m a hunter.” Lily felt.. Strangely protective of her.

“Ah... I see.”  the princess was silent for a few moments, feeling unsure of what to say.   This was a bit awkward, to say the least. 

“You certainly look like one... not in a bad way, though!”  she said quickly.   “So, ah... are you from around here, Tiger Lily?”

"Princess! There you are, I've been looking all over for you... Where did you even run off too?" @sirknightcookie

“I’ve been fine! There was no reason to run off looking for me…”  the princess huffed, folding her arms.  It was very annoying sometimes how he always seemed concerned about her when he didn’t need to be.

“I just went to the flower garden to pick some flowers, and then I took a walk outside the castle… that’s it.   I don’t get why you worry about me so much, I can defend myself if I need to!”

“I understand, Princess. But it is still my sworn duty to look after what remains of the royal family. Even after the Kingdom fell, I still have loyalties, you know…” Knight said. He’s got dad instincts.

“Yeah.... I know, I know.”  she sighed, rolling her eyes.   “But you don’t have to follow me every minute of the day... I can fight, have you forgotten that? I’m not a little girl anymore!”

“Why does your hair look like it’s on fire? That’s weird...”  the princess commented bluntly, staring at his head with a raised brow.

“Oh, hello to you as well!”  she replied with a polite smile, doing a small curtsey.   

“I believe I might have heard of you before… are you Adventure cookie?”

“The one and only!” he replied with gusto. “How is your highness doing so far??”

“I’m doing quite well, I’d say~.”  the pink haired girl responded cheerfully.   “I hope you are, as well?”

“I’ve heard you go on a lot of adventures... what have you seen? Have you seen anything really weird? Or unusual...?”

The princess seemed to be very curious, clearly.   She always loved hearing about things that were unlike the things she saw everyday.
