Unexpected // Open for faction

Snow Sugar sat at its desk, its hands folded on the mahogany, fidgeting nervously in its seat. Wow, what a day! New faction members! It had never lead a faction before, what was it to do? It tapped its foot on the floor nervously, resting its chin in its hand. Hopefully they like it!

It perked up softly as it heard its door open, putting on a cheerful grin and straightening its posture.

“Hi! I’m Snow Sugar! I’m, uh, I’m your new leader, I guess!”

Tiger Lily entered the frigid office, baring her teeth slightly at the cold. However, when she noticed her new leader, she immediately kneeled to a more submissive position, almost kneeling, save the fact that her knee didn’t touch the icy ground. She knew for a fact, when a pack had a new leader, there were only two options, to show your respect to the new leader, or to fight them for dominance. She preferred to do the first. There was no telling what this sweet looking cookie was capable of. After all, it wasn’t uncommon that the least intimidating one in the pack was the most deadly.

It raised its eyebrows, unsure of how to respond. What a… different way of showing respect. Feeling a tad flattered, it leaned back in its seat a little, tugging at its collar “Care to tell me your name, miss?”

She didn't reply immediately, her head still bowed. Instead, she stood back up to a normal height, in a way presenting herself. "...Tiger Lily Cookie." She stared at him, in a serious, yet not intimidating way. She looked down. She looked deep in thought, however she was just trying not to shiver.

Not too, low, just the right amount.. She tried to commit it to memory. Table manners just SOUNDED painful. She didn’t complain, however, and followed the maid. They made it into a large dining room, a wide table in the center. “Why eat here? It’s so.. Unnecessary..”

“unnecessary? hardly,” blackberry spoke with a smile. “now remember, no nagging, bragging, sweating, fretting, slipping, tripping, slurping, burping, twittering or frittering allowed.” the maid lectured while placing tableware in front of tiger lily. 

“to be a princess, is to always look your best,” blackberry pointed at the multiple cutlery she had laid out. “you have to know which spoon to use. the large one for soups and the small one for desserts.” 

“got it?”

She glared at the silverware, taking a seat and trying to follow what the gothic maid was saying. "So.. This one?" She picked up a spoon mainly used to toss salads and stared at it. "Soup spoon. Okay."

Tiger Lily hesitated, then spoke. “I need your help.. You’re classy. You know how fancy things work. You’ve worked in castles and things.. Since i’ve met my sister again.. I’ve realized i’m not princess material in any case. I need you to teach me how to act like that.” She seemed dejected to say it. “I don’t want to, but I feel Princess won’t accept me as family any other way.”

“i’m honored to be in your service, young miss,” she curtseyed, and looked up at tiger lily, “you’re supposed to curtsy too.”

Lily stared hard, trying to copy Blackberry’s motions. She crossed her legs and picked up two frayed edges of her dress, bowing slightly. She looked confused, but she eventually managed to get it after about a minute. This might be a challenge.

“wonderful!” not surprisingly, it’s much easier to do this when the other complies with her instructions. “now remember, since you are a princess, you mustn’t curtsy too low, but just the right amount.” blackberry instructed. 

“we are off to a good start, but we have a long way to go.” blackberry nodded, “alright let’s head to the dining room, it’s time for table manners!” the maid got a little too excited over this.

“…” Tiger Lily nuzzled her cheek against Blackberry’s in a slightly vague attempt to show her love to the gothic maid. “No.” Her voice was softer and kinder than usual.

“well… don’t stop anytime soon.” this was too cute, blackberry accepted the snuggles, hoping nobody was nearby to see her being so uncharacteristically affectionate. “i’m glad to see you too.”

At her permission, Lily could no longer supress her grin. She pondered over it for a moment before gently kissing Blackberry’s cheek, wondering idly if she would mind. Hopefully not, she didn’t want to have to flat out tell the maid how she felt..

“t-tiger lily?” blackberry stammered, caught off guard. this… was unexpected, to say the least…but not an unwelcome surprise.

“…” not one for romance, blackberry’s eyes flitted around, too shy to make eye contact. “i’m… i’m sorry i’m not very good at this, but…” blackberry squeezed her eyes shut and gave a kiss on tiger lily’s forehead.

Lily saw the kiss as an immediate go ahead, and gladly responded with another kiss, on the lips this time. Quite subtle. Her grip on the maid was rather loose at this point, if she needed to break away from the affections the jungle girl was giving. Tiger Lily was already thinking about having Blackberry as a lover, the thought was nice at least.

Ah.. Have I arrived at a bad time? - tigerlily-cookie

Princess was in the middle of…well, doing nothing, as usual. She was always lazy when it came to doing anything. That’s why she always made somebody else do it, usually Knight. She thought she was too perfect to do anything that required hard labor. That’s why she always spent the day eating or sleeping. “Ruling the kingdom is hard enough so don’t bother me!” She would always say, that was her excuse for doing nothing. She smiled at her sister and turned towards her, stepping close to her. “Tiger Lily! It’s been such a long time!! It’s great to see you! Come in, sit down! You want candy? I’ve got tons of it!”

“Hm? Water? Ah..” Tiger Lily stood up quickly and rummaged around in her home until she lifted up an almost entirely empty canteen. She turned it over near one of the surrounding trees and poured the day old water out. “Come along, if you’re going to stay for the time being, you should know where the water source is.” Again, she took Knight’s hand and led him to a nearby small waterfall, a steady stream trickling down at a good pace. Lily held it under the stream and filled it to the brim, then handed it to Knight. “It should still be cold.”

Knight watched as she filled it, not seeming to notice right away that she handed it to him. It took him a moment to realize, but he took it and smiled at her. :Thank you, you’re very kind,” he looked down at the canteen and drank it. It didn’t taste so bad, it was actually fresher than the water back at home. He only drank half of the water in the canteen, he didn’t want to be going every moment. He then remembered the C logo, who it belonged to. He didn’t see it often, but it certainly did stand out. He stared at Tiger Lily for a moment. When she blushed, was she thinking about…? “I don’t mean to be nosy, but who is that somebody you refer to often?”

“H-huh?” Lily jolted and blushed a bit, she hadn’t realized that her dazed expression was so obvious. “Oh.. Ah, it’s not important. Just a friend of mine, she.. She’s helped me out a lot, especially when i was trying to get back to, you know, civilized society. I..” Lily had to turn her head away from Knight to hide her lovestruck expression her voice soft and barely audible. “Her name. Force.” She held her face and smiled dreamily.

“Force? Do you mean Special Force?” He asked. He was so close, now everything made so much more sense! He didn’t personally know Special Force but he did know that she was looked upon throughout the ranks to be one of the greatest. She could get pretty dangerous during wartime, but he was sure she was still likable. “If that’s her, it’s okay, it’s no big deal. I just wanted to know,” he reassured, taking a sip of his water and giving a considerate smile.

Lily nodded and couldn’t hide her smile. She often thought only normal, innocent things about Force, but when it came to tell other people about her, the only thing on Lily’s mind was the softness of her lips and how gentle Force was with her when they- Lily coughed and looked away. “Yes, that’s her. She’s been away for a long time, though..” Not really, she’d only been gone a little under a month, but Lily was a bit dramatic, like her sister.

Knight thought for a moment. It was quite odd to see them together, it’d be as if Pink Choco started dating Buttercream Choco, but then again she loved everybody. How did they meet and when did they actually start liking each other? Was it love at first sight, or were they horribly bitter with one another? Knight shook his head, he didn’t want to ask anything uncomfortable or that weren’t his business. Maybe if he saw Special Force again, he’d say hello. “Well, I hope you two are soon reunited. This might be a bad time but…well, may I ask a few questions about you two? If not, that’s fine! But I’m interested, this is a first.”

Tiger Lily shook her head, smiling a bit. “Go ahead and ask. I don’t see how it’s interesting, but sure..” She sat down and crossed her legs, motioning for Knight to do the same beside her. A nice little chat in the middle of a sweltering jungle, delightful. Maybe talking about her lover would ease the ache of missing her. “So, what did you want to know..?”

Knight knew this might have been a long chat, so he decided to take his helmet off all the while. Hopefully, nothing dangerous would happen all the while. He shook his hair, he was sweating abit. It felt weird to be like this, but it was better than dying. He thought of a few questions to ask, then turned to her. “Well, when did you two meet? And what was it like?”

Lily pondered for a second, a smile on her face. “Well, she was out here a year or two back, looking for something her work made her get, I tried to kill her, she just- Whah!” Lily clapped her hands together. “She caught my spear like it was nothing! It was.. Hah..” She placed a palm against her cheek and blushed shyly. “Ah, she was nice about it though. Even after i tried to kill her, she was nice when i apologized.. She even gave me some medical supplies. In exchange, I gave her what she had been sent for. She stayed the evening with me, and even patched up Reila after she’d been roughed up, so..” An embarrassed shrug. “I.. I thanked her.” In a gay way, most likely. “It was..” Lily tried to shrug it off. “That evening was probably the best time i had in my entire life because of her.”

Knight continued to hear on, he thought it was sweet how she loved Special Force in such a way. It go awkward how she mentioned an evening that was the best time, but he shrugged it off. He simply smiled at her the rest of the time and put his hands on his knees. “You seem to recall wonderful times now, yes? I’m glad that you two share wonderful memories.”

Lily smiled brightly but it didn’t stay much longer. “We.. We do, but..” She sighed a little bit. “I’m worried. She’s always off doing.. Well, whatever, i’m not exactly sure, but it’s dangerous. I’m always worried about her, but I shouldn’t be. She’s not reckless and she knows how to fight, but I just wish she wasn’t always in some sort of danger. I don’t know, I think it’s taking a toll on her too.. I just want to help..” She bit her lip and sighed again, she didn’t mean to make it so depressing, but she didn’t know many people who were aware of their relationship that she could talk to about this. “Maybe.. i’m just jealous she doesn’t come back as often as i’d like..”

“I’m sure she worries just as much as you do, you know, how you live in a place like this. It’s dangerous, and she hopes the best for you, right?” Knight shrugged and looked away for a bit. Now that she mentioned it, he hasn’t seen her around for a while. He hoped she was alright, it would be devastating to hear that a special somebody was lost to another. He didn’t think much on it, but he kept it to the back of his mind. He wouldn’t want Tiger Lily to continue worrying even more than beforehand. “What do you mean by ‘taking a toll on her’?”

“I guess.. Well, I shouldn’t tell too much, but.. Well, I know her work is hard. She’s done things I don’t think i could even dream of, but it seems like she can’t forget it either. Her work isn’t easy, but she doesn’t let herself get away from all of it..” Lily crossed her arms and thought. She’d dealt with Force on her worse days, and it wasn’t fun, but.. “..I miss her.” Another sigh, she bowed her head slightly.

Knight pat her head in a reassuring manner. In a way, he wanted to cheer her up, and though he couldn’t think of a way in that moment, he could certainly try. This wasn’t protecting in a way, but it was serving. “Serve and protect” as he lived by, and he would do just as that. “What if I, oh I don’t know, told her how you felt? I don’t know, I mean it might be stupid, but one can always try, and I try my very best.”

Tiger Lily seemed to consider it, and nodded appreciatively. "I bet you'd see her more often than I would.. If.. If you saw her, please. Just tell her i'm worried.." She gave a tenative smile at Knight, before leaning into him as he patted her. He was being nice and comforting.. She couldn't resist nuzzling close to him.

It was.. Hah..” She placed a palm against her cheek and blushed shyly. “Ah, she was nice about it though. Even after i tried to kill her, she was nice when i apologized.. She even gave me some medical supplies. In exchange, I gave her what she had been sent for. She stayed the evening with me, and even patched up Reila after she’d been roughed up, so..” An embarrassed shrug. “I.. I thanked her.” In a gay way, most likely. “It was..” Lily tried to shrug it off. “That evening was probably the best time i had in my entire life because of her.”

Knight continued to hear on, he thought it was sweet how she loved Special Force in such a way. It go awkward how she mentioned an evening that was the best time, but he shrugged it off. Lily smiled brightly but it didn’t stay much longer. “We.. We do, but..” She sighed a little bit. “I’m worried. She’s always off doing.. Well, whatever, i’m not exactly sure, but it’s dangerous. I’m always worried about her, but I shouldn’t be. She’s not reckless and she knows how to fight, but I just wish she wasn’t always in some sort of danger. I don’t know, I think it’s taking a toll on her too.. I just want to help..” She bit her lip and sighed again, she didn’t mean to make it so depressing, but she didn’t know many people who were aware of their relationship that she could talk to about this. “Maybe.. i’m just jealous she doesn’t come back as often as i’d like..”

“I’m sure she worries just as much as you do, you know, how you live in a place like this. It’s dangerous, and she hopes the best for you, right?” Knight shrugged and looked away for a bit. Now that she mentioned it, he hasn’t seen her around for a while. He hoped she was alright, it would be devastating to hear that a special somebody was lost to another. Princess was in the middle of…well, doing nothing, as usual. She was always lazy when it came to doing anything. That’s why she always made somebody else do it, usually Knight. She thought she was too perfect to do anything that required hard labor. That’s why she always spent the day eating or sleeping. “Ruling the kingdom is hard enough so don’t bother me!” She would always say, that was her excuse for doing nothing. She smiled at her sister and turned towards her, stepping close to her. “Tiger Lily! It’s been such a long time!! It’s great to see you! Come in, sit down! You want candy? I’ve got tons of it!”

“Hm? Water? Ah..” Tiger Lily stood up quickly and rummaged around in her home until she lifted up an almost entirely empty canteen. She turned it over near one of the surrounding trees and poured the day old water out. “Come along, if you’re going to stay for the time being, you should know where the water source is.” Again, she took Knight’s hand and led him to a nearby small waterfall, a steady stream trickling down at a good pace. Lily held it under the stream and filled it to the brim, then handed it to Knight. “It should still be cold.”

Knight watched as she filled it, not seeming to notice right away that she handed it to him. It took him a moment to realize, but he took it and smiled at her. :Thank you, you’re very kind,” he looked down at the canteen and drank it. It didn’t taste so bad, it was actually fresher than the water back at home. He only drank half of the water in the canteen, he didn’t want to be going every moment. He then remembered the C logo, who it belonged to. He didn’t see it often, but it certainly did stand out. He stared at Tiger Lily for a moment. When she blushed, was she thinking about…? “I don’t mean to be nosy, but who is that somebody you refer to often?”

“H-huh?” Lily jolted and blushed a bit, she hadn’t realized that her dazed expression was so obvious. “Oh.. Ah, it’s not important. Just a friend of mine, she.. She’s helped me out a lot, especially when i was trying to get back to, you know, civilized society. I..” Lily had to turn her head away from Knight to hide her lovestruck expression her voice soft and barely audible. “Her name. Force.” She held her face and smiled dreamily.

“Force? Do you mean Special Force?” He asked. He was so close, now everything made so much more sense! He didn’t personally know Special Force but he did know that she was looked upon throughout the ranks to be one of the greatest. She could get pretty dangerous during wartime, but he was sure she was still likable. “If that’s her, it’s okay, it’s no big deal. I just wanted to know,” he reassured, taking a sip of his water and giving a considerate smile.

She often thought only normal, innocent things about Force, but when it came to tell other people about her, the only thing on Lily’s mind was the softness of her lips and how gentle Force was with her when they- Lily coughed and looked away. “Yes, that’s her. This might be a bad time but…well, may I ask a few questions about you two? If not, that’s fine! But I’m interested, this is a first.”
