because yuu's geniuenly my favorite character....... im still torturing them

Yuu occasionally forgets details about their old world. First it’s small things like favorite snack brands, a classmate’s face, the route home from school. Then one day they realize they can’t remember their own bedroom clearly anymore.

Nobody at NRC fully understands how lonely being magicless is. The first years mentions it rarely but in a casual way, like 'oh yeah we forgot', but Yuu constantly lives with the awareness that if something goes wrong, they can’t protect themselves the same way everyone else can. They're thankful to have friends that protected them during the overblots even tho they felt utterly useless...

Ramshackle is cold because the dorm was abandoned for so long, and sometimes Yuu stays awake listening to the building creak, realizing there’s nobody in this world they truly belong with.

Grim notices when Yuu is homesick before anyone else does. He’ll start fights or act extra annoying on purpose just to distract them from crying.

Yuu keeps souvenirs from every dorm. Not because they’re sentimental, but because they’re terrified that if they ever go home, this world will disappear like a dream.

Some nights Yuu quietly wonders whether their family thinks they disappeared… or died. (I think I saw something about Yuu's original world being paused or something like that in one of the novels but im not too sure so...)

Ace is one of the first people to realize Yuu smiles differently around others versus when they’re alone.

Yuu gets used to being needed only during crises. They become “the reliable prefect,” but secretly start feeling like people only come to Ramshackle when everything is falling apart.

Malleus visiting Ramshackle late at night becomes important because he’s one of the few people who understands isolation. Neither of them says it directly.

After every overblot incident, Yuu becomes more afraid. Not of the overblots themselves, but of losing the people they’ve grown attached to.

There’s a version of Yuu that stops talking about going home because they realize NRC is home now… and that realization scares them more than anything.

Crowley promising “we’ll find a way home soon” starts hurting after a while because Yuu can tell he doesn’t (want to) know.

Yuu sometimes sits in on magic studies they can never use anyway. Not because they expect to learn magic, just because they want to feel included.

The students eventually stop calling Ramshackle “haunted” and start calling it “home,” and Yuu nearly cries the first time they overhear it.

If Yuu ever made it back to their original world, the loneliness would hit in subtle moments. Reaching for their phone to text Ace about something dumb. Hearing thunder and thinking of Diasomnia. Turning around to tell Grim a joke before remembering he isn’t there. And the worst part would be knowing nobody around them could truly understand why they miss a world that technically never existed.

i am in my feelings right now (sad ones, nostalgic???) and i want to talk with you guys so :

One thing you should know, I can always talk more about my yuusona. Also, I started typing this an acceptable time from the original posting, only to spend hours thinking and typing.

So for Kat, I started by asking "what if I were yuu?" And that was my base. Yuu lives a very different life from me so I adapted them to fit that life. Then I looked at them around other characters and molded them to better fit and balance with the cast. I also gave them a personality I thought aligned with Yuu's actions more. I read all contracts fully before signing, so Kat had to be more trusting and naive. Finally, I decided to dump all my issues on Kat and make them worse. Kat has clear scars where mine have long faded, Kat finds protection and comfort in their friends.

Thus, Kat was created. Kat is shy and awkward and kinda stupid. Kat and Grim balance each other pretty well most times, except for the fact both are way too eager to go along with crazy stuff.

The pinned post on my acc has a drawing of Kat. They're a shy extrovert, and tend to quietly follow whatever looks interesting. They're also a cuddlebug, and once you tell them it's okay to hug you, they will take no issue leaning on you or sitting in your lap.

Fun facts:

Kat is an artist and specializes in fiber arts. They sewed their own Ramshackle dorm uniform.

Kat wears hooded cloaks/capelets most of the time, whichever is appropriate. Their dorm uniform one has handmade patches on the back for all the special events they've experienced.

Kat is romantically inclined to women, and quite annoyed at being at an all-boys school. When given the chance, they will run off and flirt with cute girls. Though when faced with Leona's royal guard (mostly lion beastwomen) they got overwhelmed and wound up just staring afraid to talk.

Kat's parents are biologists and they've inherited their passion. Kat finds the unique biology of beings in Twisted Wonderland absolutely fascinating, and keeps notes on findings and theories.

Kat can understand Epel's accent. It takes them a second to comprehend and translate slang, but it's pretty similar to accents they've heard before in their world. Rook on the other hand, they struggle with.

Kat has enlisted the pop music club to help them recreate their worlds music here. Music is a hobby of theirs and they like many types, so they have everything from hymns to screamo in their memory to share.

Kat is agender, but presents male at NRC. He's afraid of standing out or getting harassed about it. He doesn't really mind being a boy, but will tell people close to them the truth.

Kat, much like Silver, can get hit with daytime drowsiness. They've managed to bond over this.

Rook makes Kat really uncomfortable, though Kat hasn't found a solid reason to explain why they feel so unsettled by him. They just are.

Less Fun Facts (TW on these):

Kat has found the Sunset Savanah to be the most like their home. They're insanely tolerant to the hot climate and have a dangerous tendency to shrug off signs of heat exhaustion since they've experienced it so often and only like one in five times does it get unbearable

Kat arrived in Twisted Wonderland with a horrible fear of fire due to a childhood incident. They're getting better, but still flinch when fire magic comes close enough they can feel it's heat.

Kat has the eating disorder ARFID, and often passes off meals they're served to Grim, and make their own food in the Ramshackle kitchen.

Kat's nonspecific health issues make extensive physical activity hard, especially if they're isolated from their safe food, so they hate Jamil with a burning passion as book four was literal torture and far worse on them than Jamil intended. (Not to mention Kat is a basic white bitch and has the lowest spice tolerance imaginable)

Hihi I have a Yuusona^^ his name is Kupid and here are some facts/lore about him

I feel like all of the yuusonas i see either hate Grim or don't care for him that much?? Which is so strange to me because Kupid actually sees Grim as his familiar and basically refuses to go anywhere without him

since the game isn't finished i took some liberties with what happens after Yuu gets sent home. They're able to keep communicatiom between the worlds open so Kupid actually returns to NRC for a second year by Crowleys invitation

During his second year Kupid learns he can actually use mirrors as a method of transport (like the ones used to go to the dorms) and eventually uses them to dimension hop

Before going to Twisted Wonderland, his hair was a lot shorter and brown. After waking up in the coffin, he found it much longer and split down the middle. While in TW it grows naturally in that split color, but grown brown while in his world

His fursona would be a rabbit

Because you offered to listen I'll hand you all the pieces of information I have about ther without spoiling my story for her too much (though I doubt anyone her knows her fanfic)

My Yuusona has been through countless reincarnations/isekai in her life and by the time she arrives in twist she is pretty tired and done with everything.

Well, because our dear twisted cast has a way of worming into her heart my yuusona "untireds" and actually enjoys life.

What I also have for her is that while she doesn't consider humans beautiful (she has a kinda messed up perception of what's "beautiful") she is mesmerized by the Overblots and considers them to be "ethereal".

Also she will be based on Peter Pan or his idea of never growing up at some point, because she always dies when she reaches a certain age and she doesn't want that.

(She is pretty edgy, but I love angst to comfort to angst so-)

Also because you asked for headcanons, both Malleus and Lillia speak in Victorian times slang, just because.
