Once they had started, the tears wouldn’t stop. Both halves of him had combined from a need to save William from his fate, and he was unintentionally born with that same need, the same drive to see him safe again. And he’d failed. He was too late.

What was there now? What would he do? What could he do? How could he be sure he wouldn’t fail again? He didn’t see the smile, shaking hands reaching up to clasp tightly onto the bright man’s arms. A strained sob broke through as he tried to keep his cool and after the first, another soon followed.

What was he going to do?

The smile dampened, though it didn’t disappear. He didn’t understand where this came from, nor how he could make it stop. Tears. They were unnecessary. Unwarranted. Uncomfortable.

Reaching forward, he pulled the boy towards him, wrapping around him and pulling him close. The hold was a little strange, like doing something you hadn’t done in years. Familiar but so very very strange. “Please stop.” he muttered.

Dark cut Will off with a swift punch to the face. "THAT'S NOT MY NAME ANY MORE! IF YOU WERE EVER HERE YOU'D REALISE THAT!"

There’s a crack as the more-powerful-punch than he was expecting breaks his nose, blood immediately trickling down his face.

Will looks at Dark reaching to cradle his nose. He wants to say something. He should say something, but even he, even now, he knows he should stay silent. What would he even say? Because he doesn’t understand. He doesn’t understand what it is that he doesn’t understand.

Aawww it's ok wilford :< you'll get the hang of things I know you will, it just may take you a little longer and for that reason. dark should learn to be patient with you and be happy with the things you do understand (Just the part of wil not fiting the way dark would like :p. I get it now though)⭐

“I’m fine. Dark is apparently one of those grumpy not quite fully grown people. But if he wasn’t grumpy I’d be worried about him.”

I agree, you do have to fit somewhere. But what do you mean you don't fit the way darks wants you to? I think your fine (1 ooooo Dx stupid internet. 2 Hey jak does that mean wil confuses you sometimes?3.......well ok i just only one thing has confused me at this point :3)⭐

I know how the boy works. I know he wishes I would stick around and try and do the whole human thing but even I know I’m a few picnics short of a sandwich. There’s a lot of things that I don’t get. Like banks. And young children.

Well ya I can see why you'd struggle, dark certainly is a puffball at heart. star here just has a tendency to think they annoy people. It's somthing I need to work on :p. (No worries jak he's not confusing me, I'm good :3) ⭐

I do worry about that boy sometimes. I know he gets mad when I wander off but I don’t exactly fit the way he wants me to. I have to try and fit somewhere. Don’t you think?
