News of a human heart being found had spread throughout the town and everyone was talking about it in hushed voices. People were scared and confused, not a good mix. Walking into the bar and seeing David, August took a seat next to him. “Rough day?”

Rushing to close the diner door behind her, Jade felt a shiver or two run through her at the temperature change as she shedding her coat and hung it by the door. Perfectly predictable of her to forget an umbrella… and perfectly just her luck that the diner would be packed. With a sigh, she had been about to turn to leave again but was surprised when a male voice called out. “Oh… Really? I wouldn’t be a bother.”
As much as he liked his own company, sometimes the company of another was needed. A friendly chat, a cup of coffee. It had been lonely travelling to get the Saviour to believe. And frustrating. “You wouldn’t be a bother at all. I’ve only been in town a few days but I’d like to meet anyone I can and figure them out. I’m August.”

"No. I used to date a muggle named Isra but that didn’t work out.”
HP AU: What do you think of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger?
"I only know what is documented about them. Each one of them are incredibly brave but I don’t know them personally or did anything with them.”

“I’m not a professor but I would have to agree there. I can see professionalism being important, but it’s nice to know that you’re cool with me calling you by August when not in the classroom.” She laughed. August was not at all like some of the professors here, so maybe life at Hogwarts wouldn’t be so terrible. “Good to know that you’re not going to be grading me! I’d fail if you did because I’m not too sure where I’m going.” She tried to look confident as they walked down corridors, but Emma really wasn’t sure where she was leading him. “You seem more outgoing to kids like me than most of the professors. I mean, I’m not saying the professors are all mean because they’re not, buuuut you just seem cool.”
"I’m normally moving from school to school too much that professor sounds too formal. At my last place, they called me August. I was there for a while and none of the other professors seemed to mind but Durmstrang is very different to Hogwarts.” Different but in a good way. A lot less intense. “That makes sense. I think, and this is between us, that most of the professors here are too old or too stuffy. I want to bring new life here.”
[hp au] Thoughts on Albus Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort?
"Voldemort was evil and so incredibly powerful and far right. If he wasn’t so obviously dark, he would have made a great politician. There are a few that remind me of him. As for Albus Dumbledore, I heard great things about him but heard he was extremely manipulative but only to get things done to defeat the darkness. I can see why he did what he did and why he chose the actions that he did.”
HP AU: Favorite potion?
"I’ve taken the draught of peace a lot. It’s been helpful to me.”
HP AU: If you were an animagus, what creature would you like to turn into? What would you do with your animagus powers?
"None? Transformation is a very tricky and dangerous thing to do. It is cool but there is something about being transformed and the possibility of being stuck in that form that terrifies me a little bit.”
HP AU: What would amortentia smell like to you?
“I’ve had a smell of it and it smelt of sawdust and sea salt and coconut. A little bit like being on the beach but more like being washed ashore. You ever smelt anything like that?”
HP AU: Favourite magical creature?
“Hippogriff all the way.”
HP AU: What's your favourite spell?
"I’ve travelled all around the world so I find portus really useful but my favourite is lumos solem. It is useful, simple and beautiful to cast. I’ve had to use it a lot.”
