CAN I JUST ADD A THING! At my work, IT IS A REQUIREMENT to work Black Friday. In fact, requesting off is a MASSIVE NO-NO, and calling off for ANY REASON (other than being in the hospital) is grounds for potential TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT. I am NOT VOLUNTEERING, I haven't spent Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family in TWO YEARS, because of Black Friday. Think about the possibility of these things before you just up and freak out because you're waiting in a line, or because we're sold out of that ONE ITEM, or because your coupon is a month expired and we won't accept it.

Rant status about the conflicting statements of my mother.

My mom just now: I need a volunteer to dry dishes!

My mom on Sunday when I was washing dishes: Drying the dishes is a part of washing them! Do it yourself!

My mom to my sister: Will you please come do something for me?

My mom after my sister does the thing: You're so awesome!

My mom to me: Randy! Get off your butt and do this!

My mom after I do the thing: Took you long enough, I could have done it at least three times in the time it took you to do it once.

Me: What the frick-frack snick-snack are you doing?

My mom: Hey! Enough with the language!

My mom: Hey! Knock it the fuck off!
