I built an AI app to end the "what should we watch?" fight on Android TV
Every movie night in my house started the same way: turn on the TV, open one streaming app, scroll, open another, scroll, watch two trailers, lose interest. Twenty or thirty minutes gone and we still hadn’t pressed play.
So I built PinpoinTV — an Android TV app that answers one question fast: given how you feel right now, and the services you already pay for, what should you watch tonight?
How it works: pick your mood, pick a genre or content type, and its AI gives you one tailored pick — filtered to only the streaming services you actually have, and your country’s availability. Built for the remote, with big readable cards and D-pad navigation. No account, no cost.
It’s free on Google Play for Android TV: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leonidster.moviesrecommenderreactnative
Landing page + 2-min demo: https://leonidster.github.io/pinpointv-site/
If you’ve ever lost half an evening to the scroll, I’d love to know whether this fixes it for you.
