Pin-up stuck, as the name suggests, is a homestuck pin-up calendar to celebrate the new year. The zine will be released on January 1st in digital format, and all proceeds will be donated to the PCRF-or Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

PSIIBAJABLAST: I threw out a bunch of sketches really quick, and I honestly would repurpose them in the future. Although, the final sketch chosen is definitely the most "Pin-up" option. I knew I had to make him shirtless, and I also knew I wanted it to be a little silly. If I had gotten a summer month, I think I would've gone with the pool option but ultimately I'm super happy with the pose I chose!

MEOWARE: I just had the one idea from the beginning, really. Did the first rough concept sketch real shittily on an assignment and then added onto it. Originally, I envisioned it as being portrait rather than landscape, so I had to fill the space. Messed around with the layout a couple times before sticking with something a bit more empty so that it could be painted lazily/messily, as most pinups I looked at focused more on the subject than detailing the background. Went through a lot of different test phases with the coloring before landing on what I did.

GOBLINPARTYY: ive only drawn gamzee a couple of times especially compared to some other homestuck characters, so figuring out what to do with him was fun!! i wasnt really sure what direction to go in at first so i was just thinking about things/concepts that are heavily tied to him (sopor slime, clown horns, clown stuff in general). i ended up going with him on the couch since i thought the pose would be fun, and just switched out the couch with his desk. i really like the clown themed poses/ideas though so i might reuse them in later drawings!! :o)

MISSBEHAVIOR0U0: When figuring out a pose for Callie, I was caught between ideas that were too stiff and ideas that were too ridiculous. Well, all right, maybe the yaoi would’ve flown, but it was hard to do anything really fun with the posing. I ended up going with the pencil sketch of her as a cowboy, since the angle was exciting. Aside from that, my other challenge was figuring out how to make a skeleton look sexy. Most of what makes Calliope’s design appealing to me is the sharp definition of the more skeletal parts of her body, so I focused on those while positioning her in a way that highlighted her spine. The humor in this piece comes from the ridiculously skimpy clothing I landed on—covering up what, exactly?—and the innuendo inherent to its composition. I hope you enjoy looking at it in our calendar!

HAMSTERLOVER38: i did these rough sketches very early before i even got accepted, if i didn’t made it into the zine i was going draw them anyway i love doing aradia pinups i think she has the right personality for a pinup girl.

I was betting on cowgirl aradia at first but i couldn’t portray my vision as i wanted to so i tried with fairy aradia, i was convinced on her for a very good two days before i gave the cowgirl theme another chance. At first i didn’t want to include sollux in my piece, i thought it was very predictable of me (ᵕ•_•) but his inclusion made it very fun, you really cant separate them.

ATLATTACUS: when making concepts/thumbnails for the pose, i knew i wanted it to be somewhat cat-like ehe! ^^ at first i really liked the pose of her painting the best, and a part of me wanted pounce to be there… eventually though i landed on the yarn one :] i thought it would be the most fun!

If the asks are still open, who in the homestuck cast would own a pinup calendar? Would they display it proudly or hide it in a corner of their bedroom?

Psiibajablast: Rose, 100%. I just feel like she'd enjoy it for purely aesthetic reasons. And she'd make sure it's fully visible and hung up on the fridge, of course

Autisticaradiamegido: seconding kanaya i think she would be into the sort of classic pinup aesthetic (and also, like, Women, obviously)

Simoni-999: karkat, definitely. also june and vriska specifically have a shared totally unironic nic cage calendar. it's not officially licensed either it's just made from screenshots june put together in photoshop

Galaxicnerd: equius, proudly. dirk if its all men and also proudly. kanaya if its all women slightly ashamed of it, Jake owns one and is semi ashamed of it too. jane owned one and is completely ashamed of it. i think thats it. i dont see anyone else owning one.

Pumpkin-mines: I feel like dirk would own a horseplay themed pin-up calendar, Jake might have one thats spider girl themed though he'd insist it's a normal non pin-up calendar. roxy would def have one

AUTISTICARADIAMEGIDO: so originally i had the glasses biting pose with some very basic lingerie and i liked the pose & expression but it felt kinda bland? and then i kept running across reference images that had these like, Convenient Censorship Objects, and i thought that was so funny that i thumbnailed the lil gardening scene.

then i decided i wanted to try and combine the silly censorship houseplant with the pose i already had, but smth about it just felt like it was skirting a wee bit too close to the level of Actual Nudity we were trying to avoid, so i toned down the sauce a little and ended up with the cute overalls she eventually ended up in for the final illustration!
