Michael Reeder, es un pintor nacido en Dallas, Texas. Estudió Artes visuales en Nueva York y actualmente se dedica al diseño gráfico freelance.
Su trabajo nos habla de la contemplación entre la conciencia y la subconciencia -o al menos eso dice él- pero curiosamente todos los personajes de sus obras carecen de ojos. Para transmitir tal idea el artista ha utilizado una mezcla de realismo, colores planos y patrones.
El empleo de diferentes soportes y formatos hace de Michael un artista todo terreno, nada se pone en su camino: troncos, latas de aceite de motor, muros. En este último, he de reconocer que su trabajo como muralista mola.
Sin duda una obra llena de simbolismo y lecturas, que si no fuera por su colorido, pecaría de ser un tanto inquietante.

Michael Reeder is a painter born in Dallas, Texas. He studied visual arts in New York and nowadays is working as a freelance graphic designer.
His work tells us about the contemplation between the conscious and the subconscious- at least that is what he says- but curiously enough all the people in his portraits have no eyes. To express that idea, the artist has used a mix of realism, flat colours and patterns.
The use of different bases and formats makes Michael an all-terrain artist, nothing is in his way: trunks, engine oil cans, walls. Finally, I have to recognise that his work as a wall artist is cool.
Without a doubt, Michael’s work is full of symbolism and readings. If it wasn’t for how colorful his work is, it could have been a bit disturbing.
