@tolkienvillainsweek Day 6 - Mairon/Sauron
For the Tolkien villains week I made my own interpretation of Mairon/Sauron. I have so much fun to cosplay him and to think about his character so I really wanted to do this.
There where peaceful and happy days for Mairon before he was seduced by Melkor...
As a Maia in the service of Aulë, he was a good and diligent blacksmith.
But then the days changed and this talented and fiery Maia was noticed by Melkor who was searching for easy to corrupting Maias. Mairon was a strong Maia but his own will was to weak for the darkness. He left everything behind him and became a servant of Melkor.
He learned that everything was easier to get if you scared and hurted the weaker ones. The sadistic side in him was awakened and so the tragedy began. All of this became stronger and more evil when Morgoth was defeated and Sauron was left alone. Now he was his own master, waiting for Morgoths return. And he brought more darkness and evilnes over middle earth...
He made the One Ring and he tortured and killed Celebrimbor with no mercy...
Sauron died in the floods of Númenor. But as a Maia his ghost didn't died. Because of this he could return to middle earth. He was full of fiery anger and his evilnes had no end.
But then came the time when he lost his ring. From now on he tried to get his strength back and he searched for his ring... But we all know what happened. The One Ring was destroyed in Mount Doom. Sauron died in his tower Barad-dûr. He felt a terrible pain in his body when the ring was destroyed before the whole tower fell down.
He was destroyed and debilitated. After this long time he was to weak to escape and to hide himself from the Valar. The fallen Maia got imprisoned. His embittered character finally had the chance to start new and in this time he really begged for forgiveness.
It needed a long time for him to get a physical form back. The prisoner got the chance to become what he once was... A good Maia in the service of the Valar, especially in Aulës service...
