‎The way you draw, but especially color, just really really reminds me of the Chinese 3D animated film Deep Sea. I'm wondering if you at all happen to use visual reference from there; do you take style reference/inspiration from any 3D Chinese media? If not, I'd love to know what you do use/take as reference for your style.

And y’know what, I’ve never heard of that film until right now, and upon looking it up, I can TOTALLY see what you mean!! Such a pretty animation style omg….

As far as references go, I hate to disappoint, but I really don’t get my style from anyplace in particular- honestly I didn’t think it was all that unique or stand-out, but it’s cool to know other ppl think so!

I do see myself taking elements from media like Spider-Verse every once in a while, especially with hair and rendering. But honestly I built my art style through constantly telling myself “dude you can do better than that.🫩” WHETHER THATS GOOD OR BAD U DUNNO. I DON’T CONDONE BEING THAT HARS ON YOURSELF, but I mean, that’s what seemed to work for me LOLLL

And my rendering process, I’m not the best at explaining, but here’s a timelapse of me rendering a recent piece, to hopefully get the idea across!!!

I do occasionally, yeah! DEFINITELY not as much as I used to though- like o haven’t tuned in for over a month atp. I don’t wanna say I fell out of love with it, but new interests kinda got in the way, and it’s been a few months since I’ve been up to date, so I really couldn’t give an opinion on much past Baskervilles LOL.
