Belle felt something weird when she heard the other girl’s joke. It’s like she suddenly felt guilty about that incident too, like the other girls. She got lost in her thoughts until she heard Pippa saying something to her. “Uh, what did you say? Was it something about malls? If yes then I’m up for it.”

' look at you space cadet, ’ a nickname that should really be saved for herself, ‘ like to join me in reality ? ’ her laugh rings out into the quiet night —— gentle yet rough and abrasive, both in equal measure. however, it dies out quick enough, as light hands reach down to rub the hem of her pleated skirt between her thumb and pointer finger, a compulsive habit of sorts. ‘ yes, the mall. i need a new black dress if that’s what we’re wearing. maybe shoes as well. ’

“No, we’re not. We’re totally not wearing our uniforms at the funeral. I was just coming here to inform you the dress code,” she went to sit on the other’s bed. “It’s black, and you have to wear the college’s varsity above it. Anyways, how are you?”

‘ well, we have been wearing them since we pushed steph down the slide, ’ the words roll bluntly off her tongue —— that was part of the issue the sirens were currently having with the petite girl. her sense of humor was morbid at best, and damning in reality. if the wrong person heard her, then the jig was up !!  a ‘ cute ’ giggle left her lips, her head rolling to the side, abandoning her momentary star obsession. ‘ i need to go shopping anyway. wanna go to the mall ?? ’

dark splayed out behind her, the bright eyed girl ( seemingly impervious to the briskmarch air ) laid on a concrete park bench, ankles cross, feet adorned with kitten heels hanging off the edge  —— her current boyfriend’s letterman shed in favor of using it to support her head, brown hues flicking over the distant stars. this was, frankly, a low point for pippa ; a soft soul extroverted in the best of ways, her grandmother’s words, she felt strangely alone in that moment, a small but sufficient amount of the sirens complaining about her lack of volume control —— especially when dealing with sensitive topics, but she couldn’t say she didn’t enjoy the view. her wandering thoughts were interrupted when she felt the other’s presence. pippa didn’t bother to push herself up ( or even do so much as tilt her head, yet. she was far to involved in the possibilities and shadows of the stars ) . instead, she spoke to sky above her, playing absent-mindedly with a piece of her loose hair  ——  ‘ are we wearing our uniforms to the funeral ? ’ any excuse to purchase another little black dress was alright in her books.

 before we lived in castles ;  now we’re dying on a prayer

PHILAPPA “PIPPA” CUNNINGHAM is EIGHTEEN years old and sure looks a lot like HAILEE STEINFELD, don’t they? I hear that she is very AMIABLE, but they can also be IMBECILIC. They are a ECONOMICS student and people say they’re the SCAPEGOAT of the Sirens.

aesthetics. bubblegum gone stale and pressed to the underside of a desk, someone else will fix it. rosy cheeks, dark ( often confused ) eyes, pouting lips. an all american girl with a bright smile and hands tucked so far into the pockets of her jeans that they threaten to slip. personalized pencils. nervous laughter. definitely a lifer. regular manicures, it’s the one pleasure we have in life. gossip slipping from her lips by accident. the only girl and the youngest, daddy was happy to finally have a little princess. denim is a staple, though she’s proud to wear her uniform whenever. mascara, eyeliner, glitter gloss, kitten heels, check. has dated a rotating cast of collegiate athletes and slept with more of them, often at the same time. 

pippa’s life can best be described as average. not typical, not statistically, but if you were to picture a classic american childhood you’d have hit the nose on the head. loving parents still together, a mother who stays at home and a father who was a college baseball player turned banker. three elder brothers, also classically american, playing football, baseball, and lacrosse respectively. little pippa is their princess, and in classic american fashion, she took up her role of cheerleader with pride. 

it isn’t that she’s not smart -- she’s currently studying international economics, french being her chosen field, but she isn’t a prodigy either. again the brunette can easily be described as average when it comes to academics. she begins to stray from this when her social intelligence is tested. pretty but ditzy might be one way to describe it, but that isn’t quite right either. rather, pippa has difficulty picking up on social cues, often saying the wrong thing without even realizing it. 

she’s also not a gossip in the traditional sense, she simply forgets who knows and who doesn’t, and speaks her mind on everything. that might be an issue while the sirens are trying to hide their altercation. 

naive and easily manipulated, but often you’ll find yourself helping her without realizing it. little things you don’t notice until it’s the fourth time she wanted to split lunch at jc’s diner and forgot her wallet in her dorm, sorry ! her deviousness appears accidental, and has a softer edge to it then most of the girls.
