send me “alt!” and i’ll introduce you to a charecter i’ve rped in the past, want to play in the future or are currently playing somewhere else!
--> a character I’ve wanted to rp
I was never the hero you wanted me to be.
Yet could not simply ignore the endangered girl, and in the moment thin arms are placed around her and fragile voice says ‘You’ve saved my life’, it feels like she could be the hero Trish saw in her. It feels like, for once, she is.
Horrified realization of what was to come as elevator door closes comes too late; she’s not fast enough to hold the door, and racing through stairs does not help. Yet Jessica runs, gun shots half heard but still echoing. She had to be faster, had to do something — yet cannot do anything but open the door and watch the dead man’s body hit the ground.
There are no comprehensible words in the world, then. Deaf to the noise surrounding her, looking without really seeing anything but confusing blurs, feet stumble towards the exit; she has to leave, to get out, to go away. Horror, panic, failure — it is too much, so much she feels completely numb instead.
He was back. That was a fact now.
Knowing it is real means you gotta make a decision. One: keep denying it.
Mind only changes automatic reactions when she is outside, in the middle of the street. There’s a cab driver saying something, words ignored like everything else. So you’re running. Hadn’t ran before, instead tried to help, and this was the result of it.
No. Running wouldn’t have helped either. He was back, and he would find her again, and someone else would be hurt for it. Someone had been already — she couldn’t simply walk away and expect somewhere would be far enough, safe enough, while cowering in fear Kilgrave would find her again, while people like Hope Shlottman suffered for being controlled and involved in this mess. Her mess.
Turns around instead of opening cab’s door; walking away would have been easier for the moment, perhaps, but in the long run, it would be just another fucking nightmare to haunt her.
Or two… do something about it.
