@pirelle-blog
The crossover at LEAST half a dozen people inquired about.
[Polish. A red writing on the wall saying "no smoking" changed to "beating meat compulsory" with a black sharpie]
So I've been playing Tomodachi Life
"we need an economic incentive to create art" no you don't
"copyright and intellectual property laws exist to safeguard this" no they don't
someone sent me anon hate last night over this that was like "hope you enjoy the cruel, empty world you're creating" and i think insisting that art can only exist if intellectual property laws exist is a far dimmer view of the world than anything i could consciously propose
There is literally no dimmer worldview I can think of than "everything happens to create profit".
The amount of great shit that started as "me and a buddy were goofing about" is astounding. Profit may result, sure - but it started as fun.
Bonus: If I buy a book I get to keep it! The publisher can't turn up at my house at random and confiscate all the books I bought.
hi girls gays and gamers i'm currently posting from my new DESKTOP PC that is NOT AN EVIL LAPTOP i have seen the light and realised i should get something that doesnt require its last rites the second that one (1) component craps its pants
trying to recover my SSDs at home was a Failure so I'm gonna take it in to the tech shop and get them to tell me if i need to have a mental breakdown or not yayyy
good news is the pc has rgb lighting so i can recreate blade runner 2049 with little potato bastard man

guy who plays albums on mute, it was never really about sound for him as much as feeling a sense of progression through a series of named durations
knight who gently cradles your head against their cool breastplate, fondling your hair lightly. knight who whispers soothing reassurances under their breath to you as they cover your ears with a callused hand, holding you gently against the metal as they raise a crossbow and shoot your roaming enemy square in the throat

watching my husband get diagnosed with and treated for sleep apnea over the last year was not the thing that radicalized me re: weight and healthcare but my goodness it has solidified my stances.
sleep apnea is more common in people who are fat.
society decided for some reason that this meant that being fat causes sleep apnea. its often difficult to get referrals for sleep apnea treatment if you are fat, because some PCPs will tell you try losing weight first.
turns out!! having untreated sleep apnea causes weight gain in a not-insignificant number of people. it also makes it fucking impossible for many people to lose weight.
my husband worked out the same amount before he got a cpap as he does now. there have been no major diet changes either. yet he has been losing weight -- and gaining muscle tone -- consistently since he started using a cpap in january.
also, his blood pressure -- which was high, which docs blamed on his weight/diet -- went down significantly within one month of starting cpap treatment, before his weight changed significantly.
ANYWAYS. this is getting long. two final thoughts.
- I Want To Strangle Medical Fatphobia With My Bare Fucking Hands
- if you are exhausted constantly for "no reason", and especially if you snore, you should probably ask your doctor about getting tested for sleep apnea. it is extremely common -- estimates are around 1 in 10 people -- and is also wildly under-diagnosed. like, some estimates suggest that 80% of people with moderate-severe sleep apnea are undiagnosed.
Zac Oyama, the man that you are 😂
i need all my non dropout mutuals to know what this is fanart of:

‘bread is bad for you’ ‘rice is bad for you’ sorry im not subscribing to the idea that staple grains that have been integral to cultures for centuries are evil. i love you carbs
The older i get the more i understand why some people become obsessed with privacy, not because they’re hiding something, but because being constantly perceived starts to feel spiritually exhausting.
Did you know that soda machines at restaurants and movie theaters spy on you? That most common new cars now record your sexual preferences and send it to the manufacturer (and also data about anyone who also gets in your car, walks by your car, and maybe happens to be within visual range of your car)? That grocery stores are trying to force customers to download an app to scan barcodes on shelves instead of putting up prices, so the app can scan the phone, decide how much that customer should be squeezed for, and adjust the price? That more and more innocent people are being sent to jail for crimes committed hundreds of miles away because an AI facial recognition algorithm spit their faces out and the cops didn't bother to do the most basic of checks?
I am not uptight about privacy because I'm hiding something. I'm uptight about it because the people who dismiss my right to privacy are dangerous to you and me and our families, personally, all the time.
And often, they are assholes, too.
Also Canadian Comedian Colin Mochrie and his daughter Kinley!
also david tennant - his family is very private when it comes to photos, but one of his children is nonbinary & he's been extremely vocally supportive
Sade also wrote a song for her son, which is absolutely worth a listen if you want to Cry A Lot
