Do you have any advice for artists in the sticky trenches of artblock? When your boots are so far in the mud, you can't even bring yourself to doodle? Sorry for the sad question, i luv your arts ! :3

I’m pretty sure that my personal version of “artblock” is characterized by not only normal people artblock but also severe mental illness in multiple ways, the best things I could say on it so far is that it’s ok to closely manage your environment to set yourself up for success. If there is like one singular album or playlist that tends to help, play it as often as you need. If you have a placebo that you think might help, go ahead and do it. And if you cant think of what to draw, draw something you’ve drawn a million times before and it will be good.

I dont really know if these things can really apply to most people or if I just have some undiagnosed things that are pretty obvious, but either way thats what i would say on it.

(I wrote this like a month and a half ago and forgot!!! Sorry!!! You can tell i was super out of it when i wrote this I also have something new to add I learned since then, because things get better)

Also!!! Remember no one ever has to see the art you make. ESPECIALLY if it’s in a sketchbook omg. This was something i never internalized till super recently and it’s helped a-lot.

Fun fact things got suuuuper fucked for me in January so i didint post art. Ive been getting better ever since and drawing still!!! Anyone one of you awesome real piro fans who follow my other blog would know this. Im back now. Maybe.
