I don’t think Justin Trudeau will want to visit Vancouver anytime soon:
“Hundreds show up at #ProtectTheInlet protest chanting “vote him out” - sending message to @JustinTrudeau and the federal government.”
–
Context:
Trudeau government to buy Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain Oil Pipeline for $4.5-billion
I don’t comment on posts often but I feel lm obliged to here. B.C. is my home, and the federal government of Canada is completely disregarding all of our qualms about the pipeline. The debate for this pipeline has been going on for over two years.
The type of oil is called bitumen (article against) (article for), and it’s not known how to clean up a spill, since it just sinks.
The pipeline runs through First Nations land, through inlets with endangered orcas, through the homes of more endangered animals. Plus it has a whole lot more dangers. The lack of respect from our government is disgusting.
This is our standing rock. Please take a stand.
