TBH this is part of why I made the timeline so much longer than most digital zines - I know my executive functioning can be a bit of a mess, especially when getting things started. Applications will be accepted until April 15th, so you have about a month to express your interest in participating!

I want to stress there's no "trick questions" or anything of the sort here - we will be considering mod and layout applications without experience. Everyone has to start somewhere after all!

“I very much enjoyed our date, Jayce,” Viktor told him and leaned a bit closer. Jayce was incredibly red and very warm, even his breathing began to feel ragged.

“Viktor, I’m… I’m sorry, I should have—”

“Kiss me.”

The plea slipped out of Viktor’s lips in such a soft tone, all of his want whispered in two simple words. Two words that completely short-circuited Jayce’s brain.

“Heh, I… Sorry, did I hear that right…?” Jayce stuttered. Viktor didn’t chuckle or laugh at his little joke, but instead moved even closer, the hand on his cheek slipping down to his jaw more firmly.

“I think you heard correctly. You’re very good at listening, Jayce.”

“Not such a silly dream now, it seems,” Viktor hummed as he picked up a blue crystal. It was a similar size and shape to the gemstone he’d become so familiar with, but the color was darker — navy purple with fractals glittering inside like the night sky.

Summary: It’s Jayce’s birthday and for the first time, he takes Viktor home to meet his mother. There was just one tiny problem — Jayce hasn’t told his mother that they’re dating. Pairing: Jayce x Viktor Rating: Explicit / NSFW (CH.2 & 3) Words: 19,500. 3 chapters CW/tags on fic.

Viktor was not very tuned into social cues, however, there was one single exception — Jayce. It would be mildly concerning if he wasn’t accustomed to Jayce’s unique idiosyncrasies by that point; the two had been dating for ten months, after all, so Viktor had begun to pick up on the nervous behavior and when Jayce wasn’t feeling at the top of his game.

Everything had been normal all day — the usual early morning in the lab, a quick breakfast, followed by Jayce’s hugs and kisses that never failed to embarrass Viktor since the presence of their assistants in the lab never stopped or prevented the onslaught of affection, then it was right to work on Hextech for hours.

It wasn’t until mid-afternoon that Jayce’s demeanor changed. He received a letter from one of the assistants and Viktor didn’t inquire as to what it said, but he did notice that Jayce seemed to…speed up a bit. He became more erratic, quick on his feet; not as careful and cautious as he tended to be in the lab. That alone was enough to set off some signals in Viktor’s brain.

“Is it the council?” Viktor eventually broke the silence as he screwed a bolt into a machine. The two were several paces apart and working on individual projects, as they usually did. Jayce perked up when he heard Viktor’s voice, pushed his safety goggles up, and glanced over his shoulder.
