I'm a fan of GZEltigville. A VERY big fan. I think the characters translate into the modern day very well, and overall their designs are fun.
However, I'm kind of wondering about Pete. I definitely am amused with the way he's portrayed, but to me that doesn't exactly remind me of Pete. I would think in this modern day and age, Pete would be similar to Bill, but in a much more edgy, poserish way.
I feel like Pete would be one of those "old internet" larpers who only uses /b/ and/or /pol/, but refuses to look at any other board because god forbid they have actually discussions that aren't just slurs. Pete would be a TCC-tard who idolizes the Columbine Shooters and would set his username to "Smiggles" or some shit. He would use edits of the epic face and pedobear improperly just to offend people. He would wear Ushanka hats in like 90 degree weather.
Pete as he is now is fun, but it almost feels too normal in comparison to the weird shit the other three have. He's just a surface level weird, more like that morally questionable popular boy with the edgar cut and a pre-pubescent stache.
But that's just my take. Of course, no shame to Dyell at all, they're one of my favorite artists.
