hii this is kit pixellymap! i haven't been on this account since i was, what, thirteen? but i was feeling vaguely nostalgic and wanted to boot this thing up again! i feel like most of the cartographer's guild got killed by the purge so like if you're still here? i went to a map exhibition just a while ago so i've got some oc to share if y'all are interested!

life update though i know no one gives a damn:

discovered i was not, in fact, nonbinary

diagnosed with depression + autism

got geography thoroughly ruined for me by my grade eight teacher

got into writing, published 30k words!!! woo

applied to college, results coming back this week

possibly trying geog again? idk man

It’s time to admit it— I am a born provoker. A troll, a bait, whatever the hell you want to call me. Fine. You’re right.

And the more I think about it, the morale behind this blog seems to unravel. Okay, cartography, diagrams, nice, all good.

But tag spamming? Denouncing MAPs on post after post? Saying, ‘oh, pedophiles hurt children’? Why would this even change their frame of mind?

And the tag-spamming: I used their tags, but why? To put myself in the line of danger and complain when I was hit?

To the Cartographers: I do not blame you, nor do I shame you.

I’m sorry for the harm I caused.

(I will continue to post maps, though I will not spam, and I will not harass. Please, take discourse to my directs. )

I see where you are coming from and I respect your decision.

It is likely impossible to get people who sexualize children to change their minds or see the harm in what they are doing, the goal is mainly to make it harder for grooming and pedophile apologism to take place on a site meant largely for minors. And to do this in a manner that does not include telling people to kill themselves.

There is no need to apologize. Especially considering that the posts you’ve made leading up to this one seems to indicate that your Cartographer’s blog was taking a toll on your mental health. You have the full support of the guild and we wish you the best. Carry on.
