Never thought I would actually be doing this, but right after I was joking about opening commissions to indulge in a nice birthday present for myself I was hit with an absolutely diabolical parking fine (turns out being half an hour late at the campus kiosk gets you orbital laser'd) and also 2 million small-but-they-add-up doctors fees.

I had to quit my job last September because the final year of my degree is a full-time unpaid internship on top of full-time classes (yayyyyyy student teaching), so I'm dyin' out here T_T

anyways i got into my second grad program so ill be able to do two grad programs at the same time starting next fall :) idk why though but i feel a lot less excited about this second one than i was the first time. my guess is because im thinking about the finances situation (BAD) and also because I feel like I didn’t talk much about it/not many people congratulated me as a result so I felt like a lot of ppl didn’t care (my fault). whereas for my first grad admission i was deeply annoying and wouldn’t shut up about it. can’t win either way 💔
