If you don't mind me asking, what would you say are your biggest inspirations when it comes to character design?

My designs are usually inspired by objects and animals, or rather the associations I have with them.

For example, my OC LostMedia is a sneaky creature, she sometimes steals things, etc. That's why I gave her a snake head. Because of her risky hobby, LostMedia often needs to hide. Blankets remind me of hiding. She is a snake wrapped in a checkered blanket.

There is no big secret behind my design techniques. Just associations and fun.

I admit that for some projects I didn't even have a plan for the character. An example here is WendallPie. I just wanted them to be weird. Personality, meaning and the rest came with time.

Another stupid dragon doodle, I'm so sorry

This guy's name is Hiacynt. Same as Irys, he's a blue kettle dragon. The design is inspired by bubal antelopes and rats, but now all I see are borzoi dogs ;_;
