Trouble

The problem with being an honest submissive is that you actually admit when you have done something wrong even when you know it's likely to result in punishment. But honesty is and should be part of any D/s relationship. A D/s relationship is heavily built on trust and not being honest doesn't help build that trust, from either party.

So in the spirit of honesty......I'm sorry this blog is late this week Sir.....not that it's an excuse but hopefully you will take into consideration the type of week I've had..... I can but hope :)

Focus

I often say communication is one of the most import things in D/s. Even in knowing that, it can be easy to let it slip especially when you are in a long term D/s relationship. Some things between you don’t ned to be said, you know each other enough to read the body language or know when things are going on that affect you. But the D/s aspects of your life often get over looked in that as vanilla life and stresses take over. 

A focussed conversation on your D/s and where it is at and where you want it to be is something we shouldn’t forget to do. It can be easy to get a little complacent with your D/s. We all start off  where our D/s is the main focus of the relationship but over time  the vanilla life events creep in and without you even realising it sometimes take over.  This is the perfect time to communicate and speak honestly about your D/s and what you both want from it and feel about it. Bringing the D/s out of the background of your relationship and into the forefront can have positive effects and help you put some focus back where you want it

Enjoyment

It’s lovely that your dominant feels rested and relaxed when he gets some time away. But it also means he has way too much time of his hands to allow his mind to wander to all the ways he can enjoy himself when he is back. I have a feeling I may not enjoy it quite as much as he will LOL

Curve Balls

Life sometimes throws you curve balls.  They may knock you off your feet but the important thing is to get back up. Even if you feel like you want to just curl up in a ball and wallow in self-pity  it doesn’t solve anything. A little self-pity is expected but staying in that mind set doesn’t make things any better.  There comes a point where you have to just take a deep breath, stand up and try and take steps to move forward. They don’t have to be huge steps and it doesn’t mean at times you wont falter, but every little step is a positive step back to having some form of control over the situation.

In terms of D/s this may seem stage, a submissive advocating having control. Whether we find it easy or not even submissives need to take control at times of themselves and their emotions, their thoughts. Not all control is, or should be in the hands of their Dominant. We give the control to our Dominant but we are still have a level of responsibility in the relationship and that includes having a level of control within ourselves. Doesn’t mean we want or need our Dominant to step right away but instead to focus the domination in a thoughtful way that is supportive and encouraging until we are back on our feet and don’t need to work so hard at maintaining our personal level of control.

Lesson

Valuable lesson learnt this week….. if you  enjoy using toys as part of your play always make sure they are maintained and if powered that they are fully charged!!

Slowly

Slowly, slowly, life is I think starting to make moves to head back to where it should be. Not there yet and some days feel like I have slid backwards with the stress and anxiety but you cant give in to it and let it take control. Little steps forward are still steps in the right direction. They don't have to giant steps as long as they keep moving you forward.

Up and Down

The weeks are so up and down at the moment. I know this time of year I am often exhausted and drained from all the stress but it seems so much worse this year. I would just like some normality. Well my kind of normality and with a sprinkle of D/s would be nice too only I just don't know if it's going to make me just cry or I will struggle to get my head in the right place and ruin it for your Dominant. Yes the roller coaster that is life at the moment continues but at least it doesn't feel like it it hurtling out of control like it did. LOL

This week

Last week was drop, anxiety and just feeling miserable. This week its all about the anger. I so happy I am getting to experience so many emotions.....not! Fingers crossed the coming week has even just a little bit of happiness and fun in it! Not feeling like a great submissive at the moment :(

Not

Not the best of weeks and trying to write a blog when I have nothing to say isn't helping. Vanilla list just seems to be a continuous stream of stress and pressure which in turn effects D/s life and acts like a blocker to having any fun. Feels a bit like being on a hamster wheel you want to get off but it is spinning too fast for you to take the step.

One of those weeks

The problem with trying to consistently wrote a blog every week is that some weeks you just don't have anything to say. Sometimes the thoughts in your head are not ready to be written or shared. Yes it is one of those week.

Lovely

Such a lovely day with Sir. Fresh air, wandering around a different town, people watching, doing new and fun things, the opportunity to chat without work  or other interruptions and good food and nice environments. Pretty lovely day all round with him. Exhaustion is now hitting and think I will be sleeping very well tonight. Playing with Sir can put a smile on my face but days like today can also do it. It doesn’t always have to be about the play. Even days like today remind me of why I  happily submit to him.

The problem is…

….when you haven’t been able to play for some time, when you finally do……OUCH! It’s like going to an all you can eat buffet, you cant help but over indulge even though you know you should slow down or stop!

Sleep

Exhausting week, yet another heat wave and no air con, lack of sleep cos it's too hot all leads to me sitting here for hours trying to thin of something to write on my blog and coming up completely empty. All I can think about is the need for sleep so am giving in and hoping tonight i will actually get some sleep.

Waiting

I am not the most patience person and even less so when ill and taking the time to get better. I hate being in a holding pattern waiting to get better and life being disrupted. My heads wants to just get back to life being normal and finding that point where you can start  the road back to normal is another waiting game. So in a holding pattern I stay for the moment waiting and waiting and waiting for things to go back to my form normal again.
