We all have chosen at one time in our lives. We stand behind you now screaming: Choose to let go. Choose dignity. Choose to forgive yourself. Choose to forgive others. Choose to see your value. Choose to show the world you’re not a victim. Choose to make us proud. ❤️ I can honestly say that at 22 years old I finally like myself. I was the worst/biggest perfectionist in the universe and i would beat myself up relentlessly for not instantly being the best at everything I ever tried to do. Tattooing has been one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced, and not even technically. But for what it represented to me. Being thrown in at the deep end when a lot of people already know your name and to be expected to be perfect at everything I put out into the world - impossible. There is so so much judgement around these days and preconceptions of who people are and what they should be. Creative and competitive industries can make this pressure even more unbearable. Like we don’t already put enough on ourselves in the first place! But it’s taken me this long and anyone who knows me well knows that I am now an open book. No longer overwhelmed by social anxiety, living terrified of pissing anyone and everyone off - but someone who was forced to either come to terms with my own perfectly, humanly flawed self and all of those meaningless preconceptions - or suffer. Do the same! I urge you.
