I really have my heart set on making my career in my current department. However, I need to rotate to another role for 18months starting next year.

Through the use of 2 off handed comments and my ability to count to 30, I’m pretty sure I’ve guessed who is taking over for me. If I’m right this means that there won’t be any vacancies in this department for at least 10 years.

So now. I either wait it out, find something new that I like just as much, or roll the dice by quitting and taking that specific role at a completely new company, but it will likely be very different.

I still have 8 months left and I’m already feeling rejected and jealous. At a job. Totally reasonable adult feelings. So that’s gonna be fun to unpack. Love this for me.
