@pixilsnake
Pixil has grown so much since I got her. She just finished a shed and is now 35g.
I’ve been so busy this week so I haven’t had the chance to show off pixil’s upgraded tank. It took a while as her last set up was not keeping her in and I had to tape the lid shut. Also she was getting bored. I am still learning and growing as a reptile dad.
So here it is! She has a humid hide that I burnt a hole into full of damp eco earth and terarium moss. I got another hide after I took 3 of these pictures. You can see her 4th hide in the first picture. As well as the humid hide, warm hide, stump hide, and cork tube she also has toilet paper roles burried in the substrate and more fake plants. And there is leaf litter I ordered for her.
I also learned that I can tape the thermostat probe directly to the uth under her tank and adjust the thermostat until the temp gun pointed to the glass surface in the tank reads the surface temp I want. And she has two digital hydrometers in the tank thats just tucked in there so she cant climb wires.
I put her in on saturday and I’ve been watching her explore her 20 gallon upgrade all day today!
@amazingpetenclosures
Also munster got tiles in his tank and he explored for a while.
Pixil is shedding again. That makes it her third shed in my care. And she is happily using the humid spot I made for her under the cork flat with moss! So it should be a good full shed this time around!
She finished her shed and its all one piece! The moss worked

Pixil is now 19 grams. In one month she grew 4 grams larger. And this time its before her feeding.
I cleaned my 20g gecko tanks and made slight changes in where their hides are placed. I put cheezits coconut hide in munster's tank propped up so he can climb and squeeze in. (Its a little small but I provide different sized hides because they like to choose snug spots sometimes.) And I put some styrafoam levels in cheezit's tank with the walnut hide and fake plants positioned differently. The cardboard is only there because she will only use her warm hide when it is more sheilded due to how large the cave entrence is. The tanks kind of look like tiny fairy towns.
My three babies currently. I really love when my reptiles are out of hiding and being active. Cheezit should follow example.
Pixil got a little stuck shed on her head. The rest was mostly in one piece with some shreds. My bad. I’m still new at this. I didnt know their shed looks almost normal the last few days so I thought I was imagining it and stopped spritzing the tank.
And on that topic she sneezed twice so I got worried it was too humid?
And then more research explained it after I found her with stuck shed. And I found out that they search for humid spots in the wild and that I should provide a humid hide. I’m going to do that as soon as I get some moss.
Her skin is pretty loose now since soaking her so she is fine.
Thank you @coffee-fae
Do you know how to treat the moss?
It’s all mussed now after her shed. Also I find that it doesn’t mold like this wither since the moisture can escape after a while. Last time I made a humid hide Opal didn’t use it and it just molded. I figure this way it sort of mimics what they would do in the wild when they go into shed.
Thank you. I am definitely going to do that. Also thats the same bedding I use!
How do I make her a tiny santa hat??

Does anyone know how to tell when a kenyan sand boa is overweight? And if it is different for a 4 month old ksb?
Aaaaaa
She is so pretty!!
