I think it's finally time to make a proper intro post as I've had this blog for a while, and it just feels wrong not to have a pinned post about our little girl

so if you're new here, meet Pizza!

people keep asking me again and again about it, so I'm going to answer the most frequently asked question first. she got this name because her original shelter name was Sicily, and she just looks like a pizza, so when I first met her, I put two and two together, and the name was born within a second.

and the best part? so many of you in the comments said the same thing! 'I can totally see why you named her Pizza.' that's how I knew I wasn't imagining it 🙂‍↕️

she came to us from a shelter (they brought her to us for free). so yes, a free Pizza delivery. we'll never let that joke go.

age: 3

birth date: June 4 (mark it in your calendar)

random facts:

• Pizza's afraid of the vacuum cleaner (when it's on) and brave near it (when it's off)

• she likes to think she's a wild predator but is actually an absolute homebody, unable not to fear literally everything around her when we take her outside (so that's why we usually don't)

• she's a smart kitty

• she makes a mrrp every time she jumps up onto something and sometimes when she jumps down

• she follows the sunlight all over the flat

• when she climbs up onto my chest in bed, she always sits with her back (butt) to me 🧐

• she's extremely gentle! she never harms you and never uses her claws (only accidentally), and if you annoy her, she might give you a bite, but she never damages the skin, she's very careful about that. oh, and she never hisses (I'm almost sure she doesn't even know how to do it lol)

• her whiskers are super long

that cat looks the most like pizza of any cat ive ever seen. you probably get messages like this 5 times a day but it's my first time seeing the animal and I just.... that's pizza! they make cats with pizza-themed coats now!

i also have a beautiful calico lady, every time i take her to the vet, they bring up her “calico attitude.” (She understandably hates the vet and makes it known.) I’d never had a cat before her and hadn’t heard of stereotype term. I never thought of my kitty as short-tempered but I don’t really have a reference point for whether or not she is grouchier than others. Have you noticed if Pizza has more or less attitude than other cats? Or is this just a silly stereotype lol

I have gone through this blog and reblogged a probably ridiculous amount of images of your ladyship to a side blog where I save images that inspire me to make art. these posts are queued, so you are going to receive a volume of notifications that is irritating, at random times for like, a year.

I would apologise, but I’m sure you’ll both understand that she (her crustiness, dame pizza) is just too pretty and too elegant for silly things like ‘not spamming someone’s inbox’ to matter.

like, have you ever considered colour picking pizza’s fur and making, like, a paint palette? So that the people of the world can make their life pizza themed? Or accurately create visages in her honour?
