So You Wanna Eat at Pizza Moon? A Primer:

Pizza Moon is described as a 1900s Victorian theater recast as a cosmic pizzeria. Yes, it’s as life-changing as it sounds ✨

To truly appreciate Pizza Moon with your eyes (rather than your stomach), you need to watch Georges Méliès’ 1902 film “A Trip to the Moon.” You’ll see a LOT of nods to the film in Pizza Moon’s design.

More recently, you’ll also want to watch the music video for The Smashing Pumpkins’ hit song “Tonight, Tonight,” which was inspired by Méliès.

Pizza Moon is located in Celestial Park, the closest portal being Super Nintendo World. Lines tend to be very long, so plan your pizza-eating accordingly.

Don’t forget to clock all the characters both outside and inside Pizza Moon. They’re EVERYWHERE.

Pizza Moon Theory Time: Is Co-Founder Hugo de Lune Featured IN the Restaurant?

The official Universal blog released an article dropping Celestial Park lore. Pizza Moon was included, and we learned about co-founders Hugo and Cosimo.

While Cosimo comes from a family of Italian pizza-makers 🍕, Hugo hails from a family of French traveling circus performers 🎪:

You know who else hails from traveling circus performers? This guy:

This man is so far unnamed, but he shows up in two places at Pizza Moon. The first is outside on a poster of "The Flying Pizzarellos," who are "Seekers of Otherworldly Herbs & Spices."

Second location is inside, to the right of the giant rocket pizza oven where he's holding a flag and accepting good tidings from King Cornicione:

If the King hadn't already been named by his outdoor poster, I would have said that the King was Cosimo. Maybe he could be, but we need more information on these characters to really confirm. They sure look cozy here though 👀:

I might be completely wrong, but I love the idea of this. Pizza Moon's heavy theming leaves room for us to find our fictional founders if we dig.

(And hey, if this guy has another identity, then I hope Universal shares that with us soon!)

THE PIZZA BOXES ARE BACK?????

For context, there were two different sizes of pizza boxes you could use to take out your leftovers during TM previews. However, they were long gone before the AP previews—with barely any proof they existed. The boxes were like a fever dream 👀 Did they ever really exist or did we just want them to? ✨

And yet, after much public outcry (because who wouldn’t want to risk it all to eat that amazing pizza AND dessert later on in your day?), the boxes are back???? Check out the article here.

^^^ honestly, totally fair. I don’t think Pizza Moon could keep up with the demand of pick up orders.

Part of me is a little salty because I’m not going back to Epic until it’s added as an AP upgrade. But dang, I want those boxes! Hopefully they’re here to stay 🙏🏻
