Being an adult with limited social skills is hard asf. I have the hardest time trying to make friends and get to know people. It also doesn’t help that I’m so guarded from past relational trauma. I feel so sad and so lonely all the time. I hate feeling like I need to force myself onto people just for the sake of community.

Healing taught me that honesty wouldn't ruin a real thing. Speaking about your feelings won't lose you anything worth having. Setting boundaries won't scare off proper people. & authenticity won't cost you genuine relationships.

Not gonna lie having emotional intimacy with someone is so nice. I never went to my friends when I’m going through something. But today I sent one of my homegirls a voice note. She called me immediately and talked me down. I really appreciated that. It genuinely meant so much to me. I’m glad to have good girl friends I can rely on ❤️.
