Hellos! So, I'm not super good with this introduction thing, but lemme try!

I'm currently mostly known as "Nix", my pronouns are they/them.

I'm an independent Terran. I think the Affini consider me some sort of communal pet? Something something too many plampt friends(?) (I love them so much tho)

I like, uh, D&D I guess, and also other TTRPG (The old editions go so hard).

I am utterly convinced that the Affini are space Fae and no one can change my mind.

I like making friends, am less good at it. Working on... a lot of things :3

I also like baking, now that I have the time and resources. Mostly cake. Apparently it's supposed to help me socialize or something, idk.

I think about domestication a normal amount ok um in all seriousness: I'll be posting like a seed a lot. Don't interpret too much into it, please. Maybe I would like to be a pet..? maybe not! I'm already talking to a therapist about it, so don't worry, okay? I still have a lot more to sort through, I think.

I never really felt a need to openly talk about this kinda stuff, but I've been making stupid posts that I sometimes regret and I think I should probably be a little clearer about how it's not "that simple".

Fun Terran Facts!

They have the longest fur of any mammal on terra! And it’s not even for warmth! While it’s true they have fur all over their bodies it’s mostly a holdover from their tree climbing ancestors. Only 4 functional patches remain. Two on their arm pits and 1 on the groin which serves the purpose of holding smells for pack bonding and mating purposes, and one big silly patch right on top of their cute little heads!

This patch, that they call hair, is very special to Terrans and they use it for so many purposes! Styling it is a Terran form of self expression and pack affiliation signaling and it can mean soooooo many things. Long hair can indicate a preference for being the receptive partner in penetrative sex as it gives their partners something to grab, it can be a sign of preference for a genre of classical Terran music called “metal” or it can be an indication of a Terran’s status in their (now ceremonial) warrior caste! Or none of these things! Short hair or baldness can indicate masculinity, adherence to a religion, belonging to a DIFFERENT warrior caste, or be another indication of music preference! Tying it in twists of different lengths can be a religious, sexual, or gender signifier as well, or even be an age indicator.

Some Terrans shave part bald and keep the rest long, some comb it in particular ways or even do a special style called “Locs” where the hair it twisted and treated in a very particular way to make these cute swishy little hair snakes that are some decorated with beads.

Terrans with a testosterone high body chemistry or certain genetics grow face fur called beards or whiskers which they similarly like to style in so many fun ways!! My favorite is mutton chops, they look very cute and distinguished. Note that while braiding the hair fur is often considered feminine braiding the beard is almost always a masculine signal!

Terrans hair and beards require special care, daily brushes and detanglings are recommended for hair health and brushing another’s hair is a powerful form of pack bonding. It must also be regularly washed with a gentle surfactant around once per week or whenever it gets dirty, and daily non-treated washings with water are recommended. This is a great opportunity to give your Terran a scalp massage that can make them relax deeply into your vines even without Xenodrugs. Make sure not to cut your Terrans hair without due consideration- it can upset them greatly!

Okay so when I was back in my original time, I downloaded a decent chunk of stories back from my time onto my phone to read in my free time and to show off for whatever reasons.

However, I've been catching up with one of the stories and seeing how much these characters (or I guess just sophonts if I suppose these stories really happened here) have suffered in their past, it makes me wonder if I deserve to be in the compact compared to others, others who really need it. Other sophonts who have had more hardship, no matter from my universe/time or another. So many others who deserve rest after all they've been through.

Sure I have my own stresses and issues, but I feel weak and pathetic just wanting to get domesticated knowing that some have dealt with so much more worse and still wish to keep going. I wasn't even really forced to be here, no Affini to take over my home. I took the path and knowingly stayed here. I could've just stayed home.

I know they have practically infinite resources, but my mind feels stuck back where it came from. A world full of scarcity and worry about overspending and the consequences and I don't feel like I want to have them waste time or resources on me, because it makes me feel horrible.

But surely there must be a good reason why I'm here, I chose to go to the domestication center, I know deep down I desire it, and I need it.

Maybe I should ask the Affini about it. I know how they're going to answer, but I also know this is an irrational thing to worry about so it's not really an issue. They'll surely try to calm these thoughts down, try to tell me I deserve to be here, and maybe they'll help me believe it, but I'm not completely sure at the moment.

Cause, y'know, I often feel the same way. Like there's so many sophonts who've had it WAAAAY worse than me! And like, it's way worse cause we're Terrans, right, cause I mean we're the reason for some of that. Our species has done some MIGHTY awful stuff. so to think we deserve this is insane, right? ... Well... at least the Affini don't seem to think so... I dunno. I still feel bad all the time. Especially now that I'm a floret, cause all my owners are so nice... and... it feels weird.

But, I mean... maybe feeling bad about it is fine, you know? Maybe we can feel bad and just... let them do their thing anyways, and be grateful for it. Idk.

Tomorrow I'm going to go on an excursion to where I first got here, which seems like it's going to be fun. I asked if I could go and they're just letting me, so they'll be supervising me on this excursion as I go take my steps back. I suppose they also want to investigate, but I wanna do some investigating too, maybe there's a way to go back.

Not that I hate it here, just that I wanna see my family again and my friends and a certain someone else. Just before I get my implant and all the biomods since idk if I could go back after getting all that. Maybe I'll even bring a friend along :3c. (but idk if I really got the courage to do that)

But I promise I'll be back eventually. I promised to become a floret and also have a math duel with someone after all. ^w^c

I'm pretty much unsure too. I mean the short term purpose of the duel was to like for me to probably like sweep and to maybe tease Carlee I guess, but that might mess with the potential long term goal of messing with her math skills. ^w^;

I honestly don't know how she'd feel about it, so I don't have any suggestions other than maybe finding another judge, but that may still run into the same problems. <:3

Another day at the domestication center.

[OoC Content Warning: this one gets a little deep into some personal struggles and thoughts around the end as it is as literal of a self insert i can get]

Been hanging around with some of the other sophonts who are waiting on becoming florets. There's like a few of other trans women, who I'm pretty sure most will also be furrified or whatever the term is like me. I asked for some of their social accounts, but not too many of them are on Tanglr specifically, but still good to make some connections.

Also I've been able to start a meowing chain reaction in the group for fun, so that was pretty fun. ^w^ Plus there's a bunch of plushies around to be cuddled and loved. I hugged one for like an hour, purring. (i think they know which bio mods im gonna get)

Had another session for them to learn more information about me, but it was more about some personal stuff back where I lived before, so I would rather not go into it. Though I did say how I'll definitely miss some people. <:3 I think they're going to check into my brain soon to sample how my brain thinks or something, maybe what it knows, I don't know what they do with it. Maybe they'll find some stuff lingering about some stories I read and enjoyed and that'll help em find a good affini for me, I don't know, but I suppose I should trust them with that. Though maybe they'll ask me about it.

Anyway, I should also note we've also been getting some yummy treats and meals and plenty of refreshing water and other drinks, so we're like kept nice and healthy. It's so nice to be cared for and not be so independent.

Not like I have to be back home. I'm expected to become more independent, but it's all so scary and I'm going to be expected to have to get a job and deal with capitalism and everything. I don't know how much more worse it was in the accord, but it definitely seems to be getting worse in my time. I'm just tired of stressing about the future.

It'll just be nice to be a good little kitty, a good girl and especially a good floret.

My only worry is that I ever want or even have to go back, would I be unable to do anything, be completely pathetic and dependent, will I have to forget the joys of being a floret? I'm not sure, but I'll go on regardless.

Ok I now have a spreadsheet of every Affini that might want to co-own me, that I know. But maybe sending everyone a message is a bit much... would it be a terrible idea to just not care about who's actually involved in my domestication and just let the Affini decide who wants to do core stuff? As in, like, anyone who wants to can join?

Idk. Maybe that's a dumb idea... but it'd be much easier than asking. I only really know Mxr- Ranun is cool with it, so I've been questioning them... and also Mr. Picea, but I haven't heard that from him, so...

Idk, it still feels weird. I know my life is gonna be different, but I don't really know how it's going to change. I think it might be best to just put my hands off and let it happen, yk? See how things turn out.

Also I think it'd be kind of funny if I didn't even know all of my owners before. A little scary, but really funny.
