Not So Blurred Lines After All...
Mr Pharrell Williams & Mr Robin Thicke (who didn't even really write the track cause he was busy doing coke at the time and couldn't really of written a commercial successful track anyways) have been ordered to pay £4.8) to the estate of Marvin Gaye in the 'Blurred Lines' copyright case.
This will of course set a trend of many other cases coming up. However can you rip off a feel of a track as some people are saying? well basically it turns out yes ( watch out all you writers who's songs sound the same!). Sam smith got away with it by publicly saying he had before it went too far however in most cases writers get away with it. Well maybe no more cause 4 million is trend worth repeating if it means you need to go to court.
