it’s so sad how people think that someone of a certain figure can’t like someone or harbor feelings to anyone bc they think it’s a given that no one could ever like them back so they tell them as an “advice” to just avoid having emotions or you’ll just end up hurting yourself lol bs

ever since i was like 8 or something ive always had a hard time sleeping. i would stay up all night and that’s why im forced to sleep beside my mom‬, though i think my mom has insomnia too. she would always watch movies with the lowest volume on to help her fall asleep. i used to watch it with her all the time and she would always tap me to sleep. now 8 years later it’s 2 am i have a 7 am class ‪a‬nd i still haven’t had a blink of sleep. insomnia is hitting way harder when i was 8 and now i dont have someone who will tap me to sleep

i see people drowning.

it’s sad how i can’t help them,

because we’re all floating in this ocean.

striving to go back to the shore,

but i promised.

i promised myself

to swim as hard as i can go.

i promised,

that if the waves are too strong,

don’t fight it just let it push you,

and maybe it’ll push you closer

to the place you want to go.

and im the only one

definition of me in terms of me

people often compare themselves to a star,

but i definitely am the epitome of the moon.

sometimes it’s in half,

sometimes it’s a crescent.

is it smiling? or frowning? no one really knows.

it does become full,

but occasionally,

most of the time it lacks,

it lacks some light.

some light to borrow from the sun.

it’s not independent,

definitely not,

but is it a bad thing?

to others maybe yes,

but to me?

no.

it’s not wrong to lean on a shoulder.

it’s not wrong to love someone who shines brighter,

because that’s what we are.

we are here to make the sun brighter,

we are here for the sun to have someone to lean on them,

but the number one reason i am like the moon,

is that even how many rocks and meteors are thrown at me,

and how many scars (craters) i have,

ill definitely never fall like the stars.

flames inside

my tears are like fuel,

my throat burns whenever i swallow them up,

i want to let the words out,

i want to speak the feelings,

i want to feel,

but i keep swallowing and swallowing it all,

so it burns and it burns,

people think it’s warm to have a blazing heart,

but honestly,

it’s suffocating.
