Hi folks.

@graysongoal here. If you've visited the site at all in the last, say, nine months, the likelihood is that you have been seeing a lot of my work.

Earlier this week - in fact, right after our last LinkedIn post went up - the Game Content Triggers Database site stopped loading.

I've been panicking for two days, because I've put at least 15-20 hours a week into adding games to the database, doing outreach, and more for the last several months. There were games set up to post daily well into the month of October, and I had some volunteers excited about potentially starting work soon.

I've reached out to the site's creator and manager Coty Craven multiple times, only to be left on read.

Today, IGN published the article I'm linking to below. Given the investigation into the accusations - and the lack of communication from Coty - I fully believe what is written is factual.

This also likely means that the site was purposefully taken down, erasing months of work that I and others volunteered to do in the name of helping make gaming more accessible.

I do not know if or when the site will return. If it does, I can assure y'all that there will be a rebrand and a renaming - and that it will not be connected with Coty at all. (To be fair, he really hasn't been involved in the last several months anyway.)

While I (and others) continue to process what has happened, I ask that you make space for us to grieve the friendships and bonds that we thought were real.

I dont have much left to say about irredeamable (at least nothing im comfortable with spoiling for those who have yet to play the game) So i guess this is about the time where i should start talking about my current project.

Here above is a recreation of the design process for the main character. I had to get it all done pretty early since once i start working on the sprites and animations, i cant alter the design without redoing all of them. Aniway, i wouldnt really know where to begin talking about her, at least not today. So ill leave you all to comment and speculate for now. I`ll provide more hindsight on her character in the future once i figure out an angle.

Jupe is part of a group of demi-gods called the Flamebearers. Each of them was born with the ability to channel heat into their body and release it into devastating attacks. Their bodies get increasingly resistant to heat and physical damage as it is tempered from repeated exposure to flames. Flamebearers do not wear any clothing or armor as they do not benefit from them. This also allows them to proudly display all of the burns and scars they have gathered from battles and training.

An experienced flamebearer will eventually learn to master a specialized skill from their training, such as Jupe being able to focus her fire into deadly lightning bolts.

We reached 50 downloads people! I think thats about as much as we can get for now and ill just have to wait for all of you to actually play through the game. Dont hesitate to post about your experience or ask questions. Having other people provide some engagement helps lighten the load of advertising this blog which gives me more time to work on the games.

Still Wakes the Deep is a masterpiece.

As beautiful as it is compellingly disgusting, it transcends its obvious Thingspiration with incredible writing, vocal performances, and imagery. To call this game gripping is to do an injustice to the stranglehold it kept on me throughout its runtime. 

Set on a North Shore oil rig that inevitably drills its way into a gory nightmare, the dialog and delivery stand out from the immediate get-go. Its Scottish cast puts everything it has into an impressively authentic script. From the lingo to the banter to the unabashed foul language, there’s a naturalness to the script that videogames almost never attempt, let alone excel at.
