Detroit has one of the fastest growing, most risk-taking, and compelling creative communities in the country. This world class cultural scene has been covered extensively by Architectural Digest, Forbes, The New York Times, Vogue, and Time.
NYFA gives you the opportunity to experience this vibrant, amazing city as few visitors can, during a special insider tour on October 21-23. While in Detroit, we will visit the world-renowned Cranbrook Academy of Art; The Heidelberg Project, one of the largest public art projects in the country; and Assemble Sound, a collective for musicians. We will also meet with entrepreneurs like Gary Wasserman and David Klein, who are helping to re-shape and redefine, not only the cultural landscape, but the city itself. This itinerary was created in partnership with Playground Detroit.
In addition, NYFA has a variety of contacts in the city, who will introduce our guests to private artist studios and residency spaces, many of which are not otherwise open to the public. Finally, each night at dinner we will be joined by creators and innovators from all disciplines, who will talk about Detroit’s rebirth.
