Veronica was the best character in Sierra Burgess is a Loser and that’s a fact. She had a beautiful character arc and you could see her growth as a person. She ended up being a great friend to Sierra. While Sierra was soooo problematic. She blamed all her problems on not being conventionally pretty, she catfishes Jamey and kisses him without him knowing it’s her, and she betrays Veronica in the worst way. Netflix tried to make her out as a great person that we should root for but no. Sorry but no.

Honestly Sierra Burgess is a Loser was problematic and I don’t think she should have ended up with Jamey. The catfishing was fucked up. She should have ended up with Veronica or no one.

I don’t wanna be that girl but Sierra Burgess is a loser has a lot of problematic stuff in it and i’m surprised people are not talking more about it while i have seen people rage for a lot less. The movie is cute and in some parts it has a nice message, i’m not saying i didn’t like it but i’m not gonna lie, it bothered me, especially because i had high expectations for this movie

- consent with that kiss? swapping sierra in so he was basically being kissed without his consent…

- sierra posting that screenshot like bro pls why u doing this, she’s meant to be ur friend and to get revenge for kissing the boy who doesn’t even really know who u are u wreck her in front of the whole school…

- the whole story revolves around cat fishing and romanticising that like this isn’t mtv catfish

- what’s the message of this film? like it’s meant to be learning self love (i think??) but then sierra basically turns in to a bully herself? like ik veronica bullied her first but still, stick to ur morals my girl

- everyone just forgives her over a song like it’s a good song but i’d make her work harder than that

- this isn’t problematic but sierra and veronica should’ve fallen in love there i said it

A girl in my high school was telling her teacher about how she wants to get a tattoo but she doesn't know what to get. The teacher jokingly suggested that she get a tattoo of a shark and he will give her extra credit.
