White, clean spaces. Beeping monitors sounding off from the distance. Chattering softly carrying through the hallways. He wouldnât know exactly where he was if the nice lady didnât inform him that he was currently at the hospital - and receiving treatment, apparently. The workers there have asked him so many questions, and he could not provide any answers. It wasnât on purpose. Louis just.. genuinely didnât know.Â
But, he must have been to this place before. They seemed to have some information recorded about him. Weird to say that this place of care knows more information about him than he knows about himself, right now. Once he had his evaluation in the emergency room and had gotten some lab work done-- along with a CT scan--, he was shipped off to a room on the neurology unit. âFor observationâ, is what they said.
Ugh. Why was his head hurting? It felt like a ton of bricks was dropped onto him.
As the man was resting his head into his hands while seated upon the hospital bed, the door to his room opened. Then, came a nurse in navy blue scrubs with some man coming in behind her.Â
âMr. Clarke? You have a visitor that came to see you.â She announced with a smile, as to remain casual. But, she also stuck around to see if this man, Mr. DeVille, would spark any memory.
âOh? ..Hey?â Louis feigned a small smile when looking to the man, but his tone showed that he was confused as to who or what he was.Â
The nurseâs hope dwindled a bit, but she nodded her head to him and left out of the room to provide her patient and his visitor some privacy. Perhaps, after talking with each other, Mr. Clarke would be able to remember some things. When it was only the two of them inside of the room, Louis looked up to Corvus with a furrowed brow and squinted eyes.
âIâm sorry. You have to forgive me. My memory isnât what it used to be. I think.. I think Iâve seen you somewhere before, but I canât remember. ..Maybe in the emergency room? I spoke with a lot of people there. Youâre one of the doctors?â He asked, quite genuine in his inquires. Louis truly hoped that heâd placed this man correctly.Â
