yes transmisogyny is a massive, awful, real issue that affects millions of women around the world and puts their lives at risk every day. yes this site and its staff are biased against trans women and unfairly scrutinise and ban them. however - equating the site banning open pedophiles who post and post and post and remake so they can keep posting their sexual fantasies about kids, and who happen to be transfem, to transmisogyny is fruitless at best and actively detrimental to the trans community at worst.

sometimes it isn't about gender at all! sometimes it's about, you know, supporting people who tell the whole userbase on a public blogging site that they drive around playgrounds and schools to masturbate to children! transphobes and bigots have been trying to equate being trans, especially being transfem, to being a child predator for decades and sometimes it feels like half of this site's popular 'transfeminists' have just decided to hand them ammo on a silver fucking platter.

i don't know. this might be a bad post. i don't think i'm phrasing my point very well, but i just feel endlessly frustrated at the moment by the state of ''discourse''. i don't know.

sorry for posting so much about this whole thing but it really, really worries me. i knew about other users saying they were 'maps' but i have genuinely never seen blogs post about it so explicitly. the things that these users are posting on public blogs that they're aware anyone on tumblr can see are awful enough on their own. if those are the things they seem okay for the general public to see, who's to say what's going on privately?

to the person who reblogged with a comment about paraphilias then either deleted it or blocked me - you're right, paraphilias aren't inherently predatory! the reason i'm concerned about that phantomqueen person is because she interacted regularly with this user who posted about masturbating around children and wants to be a kids librarian to get access to them. hence my concern with her having minors in the likes of her posts.
