HAPPY PRIDE!!! ❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🩶🤍
June may be ending but Pride is forever! Be kind, be brave, be strong, be yourself for yourself and your community This world needs you
I've been wanting to make Pride art for years now but wasn't confident enough. When I tried to brainstorm this year, I realized that although I do eventually want to draw couples, romance and sex aren't what's important to me. What is are the things that I love, the people I love, the love that I (try to) show for myself, and my love for the world, despite its many struggles. I chose to focus on my own experience as someone whose primary identity is AroAce.
Also shown in the background are the flags that I tend to associate with. It's hard to define myself to other people, so I often say that I'm queer and asexual. But truthfully for those who are willing to learn— I am asexual aromantic And I have bi attraction But I align more as sapphic I do not align with or like gender norms but I don't really feel any different on the outside than I do on the inside So I identify as genderqueer But genderqueer is not very well known so I also identify as non-binary to show that I exist outside the binary My pronouns are They/Them
The additional flag in the upper right corner represents AuDHD (autism + adhd). I included it because AuDHD plays a large role in my daily experience. The doodles in the sky represent the things that I love and my personal whimsy.
