TLDR and current plan

So.

Deviantart annoyed me enough that I'm here now, but it's going to take me a bit to move everything over. I'll be prioritizing my best art, but for a while I'll be posting art from 2020-2022 semi-randomly and including the original post date/creation date in the description.

What does this mean?

Well, this page is gonna have a lot of digital sawdust for a while, but hopefully I'll be fully moved over here by the end of the month!

Update: end of the month i said. Haha. As if. It’s happening but verrryy slowly.

And then i disowned everything i made in my clip studio paint era lol. I mostly draw personal stuff these days but i am working on a cool thing on the side

“Where’s the art?”

Currently deep in some massive wips (a comic, several animatics, a tarot card, and as of today, a picrew, amongst other half-finished doodles) and haven’t been finishing anything. Mayhaps I should post wips so that the place isn’t dead

Hey everyone I'm not dead, just obsessed with tma. No idea what this is but it's based on a picture of my hand and a bunch of random vibes that struck me while drawing (irl my nails are nowhere near this good. Then again my hand is also not covered with eyes, so it balances out)

Anyways I just finished mag101 and I'm even less normal about Michael now

fun fact: I think I know what other "lava-themed" piece I was talking about, and I never did finish it.

this drawing also has "all my homies live in a white void" energy to it, moreso than the others for some reason?

Mermay 2020 14: Fossil

What was with my old art descriptions all having "and yes, that is..." like why did I think it was necessary to put "and yes" everywhere?????

Notes from the old post, summarized: inspirations included scorpions, coelacanth, fish skulls, rubies. The ruby in her hand is apparently supposed to be glowing. Wow I used to overuse my white pen lmao

Give a warm welcome to an Actual Human With Legs! And also really weird head anatomy. And me realizing that i don't use my "metal" colours enough and spontaneously colouring the entire mer in those. It's kinda wild how much I remember about the production process of these drawings I made over three years ago.

Mermay 2020 12: Pressure

Vampire squid (or, according to 2020 me, "vampire quid") was drawn on white paper, then cut out and pasted onto black paper and detailed with white pen. Love my weird little deep sea dwellers.

I liked the infodump from the original post so have this:

For this one I broke away from the "unexpectedly cute" thing I's been doing, and went with black smoker worms/giant tube worms, which are 3 meters long and live at hydrothermal vents. They eat minerals in superheated water. They're weird, and creepy, and they're red because they have hemoglobin, and they get oxygen by breaking sulfur compounds apart. All they do is just chill next to 450°F water, and eat sulfur. So, I drew a colony of black smoker mers! (haha... puns...) I got all my photo references from Wikipedia, which is why you got this random fact dump.
