Hi everyone!

Long story short: I’m no longer going to be an active poster of Sims stuff, but I’ll still be lurking from time to time.

Long story long: It’s taken me a long time to get to this decision, but I have decided that I need to pursue other things and writing this story is taking time away from that. It has been a blast, and I’ve learned so many things about writing and myself in the past five years, but I can’t continue writing this story right now. Who knows? Maybe I’ll change my mind in a year and decide to come back, but until further notice I won’t be posting anything.

It's is truth. You know that, Don used her time machine to go back in time to save Bella. (Because he loves Bella) But this did not happen. He attacked by the Caliente sisters. And found himself in the town of Riverwiew. EA approved. And in her bio, he says, "He remembers stepping on to a teleporter, several women laughing, then nothing until he found himself here..." The story ends like this. And you're shipping a woman with a womanizer.. (He cheated on Cassandra) This is an insult to women.

Okay, sure, the EA version of Don is problematic, but I don’t know why you’re sending this to me. My story is about an alternate version of all the characters in which Don does not cheat on Cassandra, and if you don’t like it, don’t read it, friend.

Soooo I was kind of on hiatus before all of this tumblr stuff happened, and I’m probably going to go again until things calm down on here and in real life, university-wise.

When I get back I’ll decide what, if anything I’m going to do. My current options are:

Continue writing my story on wordpress, not because of the tumblr ban but because of the ability to write longer chapters without annoying people, and post screenshots with the story

Same as #1, but without screenshots (this would definitely mean faster updates)

Stop writing and summarize what would’ve happened in a post

Stop writing and don’t do anything whatsoever

Some combination of the above that I’m not thinking of?

I have other projects (a novel!) that I want to work on, but I also feel like I should finish this story and do it justice. With people leaving tumblr and wordpress not being as easy to find new stories on, I’m worried I won’t have any readers.

For those panicking about losing everything...

So the official tumblr export option was showing no sign of progress, and my blog wouldn’t import to wordpress, so I did a bit of research and found my own more complicated faster way of doing things.

I downloaded all of my images with TumblThree, and all of my blog posts as an .xml using this: https://tumblr2wordpress.benapps.net/. TumblThree downloads the images, videos, text posts, and everything else except the image captions, so for that I downloaded the .xml.

This way I have all of my images and posts backed up. I’m currently importing the .xml file into wordpress, and I have no idea if I’ll have to add the images back in manually. I think the .xml file only links to the images on tumblr, so I backed them up using TumblThree just in case.

It’s definitely easier to just export to wordpress, but since that wasn’t working for me I had to find another way. Despite the fact that I don’t think my blog will get taken down, I desperately needed the peace of mind of having everything backed up just in case. I’m putting this method out there for anyone else feeling the same way.

EDIT: Yes the .xml file only links to the images on tumblr, so if my blog gets taken down, the images get taken down too.

Backing up your Tumblr blog to WordPress

In this tutorial we’ll teach you how to make a copy of your Tumblr blog onto WordPress.com to act as a backup.

The first two steps don’t need to be followed if you already use WordPress.com.

1. Sign up for a WordPress.com account

You need a WordPress.com blog, simply follow the steps to select your username and confirm your account via email.

2. Open WordPress Admin

Click on My Site

Select the WP Admin you wish to import into

3. Visit the import tools page

In the sidebar menu select ‘tools’ and then ‘import’.

4. Select import from Tumblr

5. Allow Tumblr access

Click the ‘Connect to Tumblr to begin’ button. You may need to log into Tumblr if you haven’t already. Be sure to allow access to WordPress.com

6. Start the import!

Once authenticated you can select your Tumblr blog from the list of your blogs and click on ‘Import this blog’.

And you’re done, WordPress.com takes care of the rest and will create a copy of your posts onto your WordPress.com blog.

If you think, what best for you, its sad but I think you need to drop it completely, you have a college tho, this most ımportant thing, you should need to focus on your classes, I dont want you to be burden,

I’ve actually been writing a lot and I’m excited to post more of SIAST again (with or without screenshots, idk yet). I was going to come back back after the shitstorm of end-of-semester projects is over, but with people randomly getting their simblrs removed and flagged by tumblr idk if that’d be best. I haven’t gotten anything flagged yet, but I don’t want to suddenly wake up and find my blog is gone, you know?

Maybe I’ll move to Wordpress. A fresh start might be what I need anyway, tbh.

I understand, I think you should continue it without the pictures, I mean it's better than a cliff hanger :)

It’ll be nice to see what this story can turn into now that I’m not limited to what I can Photoshop...(Like how are you even supposed to do scenes where they’re talking in the car? You can’t put the car on the road, so they have to get out of the car and talk and that takes up plot time lol).
