Scruggs Spares ►►► generations 2 & 3

Top row are Octavia’s siblings: Augustus, Evangeline and Phillipa. Augustus lived a quiet life, never marrying, never doing... well, anything. Evangeline eventually married a woman named Rowan Granados, and Phillipa had a son, Lincoln, with... Rowan Granados. They all lived together. Lincoln is still alive currently, and he will probably be forever alone.

The bottom four are Octavia’s children, and Gannet and Raptor’s sisters. Wren is married to Hiro Behr, Yuki Behr’s son. They have two kids together, Ayame and Gulliver. Linnet just gave birth to a son in game, and also has a daughter named Ariane. Raven is married to Alexander Goth’s son, Victor, and they have a son named Edmund. And Sparrow had twins Alexandria and Bianca as a teen with a townie named Jarret Nevarez; she lives with him and his new husband.

Wren and Linnet are Octavia’s daughters with Lucas Munch--you can see a lot of him in Wren, and he gave his body shape to them both as well. Raven is a female clone of Octavia’s second husband Kenny, hence why she was disqualified as heiress. And Sparrow was just born way too late in game. That said, she at least gets to be Gen 4′s Cool Big Sis Aunt, sooo.....

And that’s it. That’s the family so far... Minus Paolo’s lovechild with Morgan Fyres, anyway. :O

GENERATION 3  ►► ► Raptor’s Family

Raptor’s family... is a mess. His wife is Karli, who lives in excess. She laughs loud, eats tons, flirts with everyone... But she’s incredibly neat. Like, drops everything mid action to clean neat. She and Raptor... Actually don’t get along very well. Every interaction with them is mean, mean, mischief... And then, Apologize in Bed. And repeat. As a result, they’ve ended up with children.

Their first serious fight begat twins Victoria and Vincent. Victoria is a just female clone of Raptor, and so she is disqualified as heiress. She’s out of her mind and also incredibly snobby, while also inheriting her mother’s desire to hook up with everyone that’s not related to her. Due to her combination of traits, she mostly just makes people feel awkward. But she’s a good dancer, at least.

Vincent is the single crankiest Sim I’ve had in TS4. He is just consistently miserable. The only thing that makes him happy is playing with the dollhouse... And then destroying it. Literally. Every day. For a while, he was hooking up with Andres Fyres, but is now dating his sister, Bryanna. His lifetime goal is to have the best club, basically... So he took over the Cosplay Club, dressed as Darth Vader. I have no idea if he’ll ever complete his LTW because, well... he’s pretty lazy.

Van is the youngest of Raptor’s spawn. To be fair, he’s probably the most well-adjusted of this particular lot. That said, he literally just wants to be left alone. Which is unfortunate, because his childhood aspiration is Social Butterfly. So he meets new people, gets a negative moodlet, can’t make friends... Rinse, repeat. At least he has his cousin. Van and Delta were born mere minutes apart, so he considers her as more of a sister. 

Fun fact: since my boyfriend named Raptor, he gets to name any children from Raptor’s line. He wanted all V names this time around.

GENERATION 3  ►► ► Gannet’s Family

Gannet married Ximena Diehl--aka, this little girl from Kids Room Stuff. She and Gannet were Voidcritter rivals as children, until they reached their teens and found that they complemented each other quite well. Ximena’s a self-assured genius with a love of books; her aspiration was to be a Bodybuilder (which she completed), and she’s now working on the Bestselling Author aspiration. She, like Paolo before her, will probably live 900 years.

Gannet and Ximena have three daughters together. The eldest is Skyla, a squeamish girl with a love of the stars. She wants to take her place in the annals of Simlish textbooks as one of the great female poets. Also: she wants to meet aliens. Totally normal girl, really. Comparatively.

The middle daughter is Asha, who is a complete and utter mess. Literally. Everywhere she goes, she wrecks it. Is it because she was born the day Octavia and Kenny passed away? Probably not. She’s truly the chillest of the Gen 4 potential heirs.

The youngest is Delta. She’s a sweet pea, innocent as they come and utterly incapable of any evilness. She’s decidedly sane in a household that’s slowly unraveling. Who knows as she grows up, though?

GENERATION 3  ► ► ► Gannet & Raptor Scruggs

Gannet Scruggs wants to live a quiet life with his wife Ximena and their daughters. Unfortunately for him, he shares the household with his younger brother Raptor, his wife Karli and their children who are all literally the worst.

Gannet is a gloomy, bookworm, loner with a passion for computer programming. He has already accomplished the Computer Whiz aspiration and has now moved onto Fabulously Wealthy. He and Ximena are going strong. and his internet start-up is doing surprisingly well... But he just can’t stop hacking. It’s his one vice.

Raptor, on the other hand... Well, he rolled Evil, on top of being self-assured and a geek, with the Curator aspiration. Right now, he’s mostly collecting enemies, even within his own family. Especially within his own family.

GENERATION 2  ►►► Octavia Scruggs

Also known as the reason I instituted a “no clones” rule in the Scruggs legacy. To prevent me from playing incredibly similar looking sims for 10 generations--Octavia passed by because her chin is slightly different than Melody’s. Seriously, that’s it. Otherwise, she was Mel’s twin.

Octavia’s life was... interesting. She rolled the Soulmate aspiration, and I was cool with that because it seemed easy. She married her BFF Lucas Munch and they had two kids together, Wren and Linnet. And then, the aspiration would not progress. She had to reach “soulmate” status with her spouse, right? And they had a maxed out romance bar but still, it wouldn’t hit soulmate.

Turns out, her soulmate was actually her childhood friend who she briefly dated as a teen, Kenny Lambert. Long story short, she and Lucas divorced and she remarried her one true love. And they had babies ever after: Raven, Gannet, Raptor and Sparrow.

After completing the Soulmate aspiration, she went on to become a Painter Extraordinaire and reached the top of the Painter career. Between Octavia’s paintings and Kenny being a mad scientist, the family got real rich real fast.

Sadly, she just passed away in game, after the birth of her fourth grandchild, followed shortly by her husband.

LEGACY FOUNDER ► ► ► Melody Scruggs

Melody Scruggs was created by pressing the “randomize” button in CAS, and then picking some random traits. Even her name was random! I just wanted to test out Get Together... Look where that’s gotten me.

She was a cheerful, childish, extremely jealous aspiring mixologist. She married Paolo Rocca (who lived entirely too long) and had four kids: Augustus, Octavia, Evangeline and Phillipa. Unfortunately for Melody, raising four kids meant that her aspiration seriously took a back seat, though she did max out her mixology skill, as well as cooking. (I had to remove the bar from the house because she would not stop drinking). Additionally, it meant her relationship with Paolo also suffered, and he had a short-lived fling with Morgan Fyres, which resulted in a daughter, Lindsay. While they recovered from that, things is the household were never quite the same between them.

While I would like to say Mel had a fulfilling life, her ghost continued to haunt the household and break every single piece of plumbing until I downloaded a cemetery and put her urn in there. Seriously. And I think she still comes out and haunts it.

coming at ya: a rundown of my current family. 

The Scruggs Legacy is on the cusp of its 4th Generation! So there’s lots of background to share. It’s literally just a gameplay legacy, I wasn’t telling a story. But it’s so much fun.

While TS3 is probably better suited for legacies, I do prefer TS4 at the moment. Less lag. A lot less lag.
