I’m on my phone right now to fully blabber about this topic but I agree.

Specially given that Yuuko mentions in holic that Clow’s last words to her were “if the dream doesn’t end…”, meaning it was likely the day the Mokonas were put to sleep. Meaning the same day he gave her the “confession” in the Kei drama cd, which was super vague (AND AWFULLY SIMILAR TO WATANUKI’S CONFESSION TO HIMAWARI. And pretty much what he tells Yuuko upon parting in Rei, but that’s another can of worms.) : “Thank you. That I was able to meet you…I was truly happy.”

Had they already been lovers, I feel like the whole thing would be worded differently.
