Aviendha: What are you doing? Rand: Smelling a rose. Aviendha: Weird. *whispering* I wish I was that rose. Rand: What? Aviendha: I said you’re gross!
Lan: Don't kill me, I'm married
Enemy: You think I give a shit?
Lan: No, you misunderstand me. This isn't a plea for mercy, it's a warning
Cutwell: *eating a substance out of a glass jar*
Cutwell: There’s something wrong with this yogurt
Mort: It’s not yogurt, it’s mayonnaise
Cutwell: Oh, right! There we are then
Cutwell: *continues to eat*
“History unravels gently, like an old sweater. It has been patched and darned many times, reknitted to suit different people, shoved in a box under the sink of censorship to be cut up for the dusters of propaganda, yet it always- eventually- manages to spring back into its old familiar shape. History has a habit of changing the people who think they are changing it.”
— Mort, Terry Pratchett, p. 136
I herewith present to you a second "Krabat as vines"-video :D
Book cover for a (non-existent) fancy edition of "Krabat" by Otfried Preußler 🪶
We (had to) read this book in 7th grade but I still like it a lot 😊✨

I made a comic from a scene in the Curse of Chalion. I freaking love this book and since I’m rereading it I’ll probably be doing more of these XD
SIM Card and Social Media Registration Act
Hi, something important’s been recently brought to my attention.
I’m a Filipino, and we need your help. I’m also just learning more about this now but I wanted to share and reach out. We’re urging our current President to veto this bill.
NOTE: Kindly correct me if I’ve mentioned anything wrong in here/accidentally added misinformation btw.
Basically, if this bill was to be approved, we’ll be required to use our REAL NAMES in all social media platforms.
And no, this won’t eliminate cybercrime or make anything any better. If anything, it jeopardizes our internet safety.
We only have nine days until our privacy and anonymity online is lost. This is serious. That means pen names, online aliases, and more will be illegal. It’s a what-the-fuck situation so we could use your responses and help by signal boosting this post and other posts related to this.
While I do not mind letting some friends i’ve met here know more about me, I do NOT want my full name in display for all strangers to see just as nobody would parade their damn name in a public space filled with strangers.
link to the thread
here’s a link to the change.org petition with more information in the description.
^ and here’s a link to more information on the issue.
i value my privacy and i’ve always been encouraging having a safe space online with whomever people i meet here. pen names and aliases shouldn’t be considered criminal. we’re only people who want to be on social media for our own reasons and we deserve our anonymity and our safety.
Q: What can I do to help?
A: Sign the petitions, spread awareness about it and reblog posts related to this to make sure this issue does not go unnoticed. It would help us a lot.

Someone made a new Discworld Reading Guide! Yes, I have a whole tag for that! People are roasting us for doing this! look. it’s just. the series is really good but the whole “you can start anywhere! they all stand alone!” line from the official source isn’t…helpful. or true. and reading in publication order is weird. and when I read the series the first time I kept getting confused and stopping because I was confused.
So here’s my addendums to the above graphic which I like better than the other ones but still have notes on:
Short version of my advice is: look at the summaries for Mort, Guards! Guards!, and Wyrd Sisters, and decide which appeals to you most. Read that series first. Chase your bliss from there.
Yes, if you start with the Witches, skip Equal Rites and start with Wyrd Sisters. Just…trust me. Equal Rites has very little to do with the rest and it’s not very good.
Skip the “Wizards” / Rincewind series until you’ve read some of the others, or all together if you prefer. I personally never made it past the first part of Light Fantastic.
Going Postal should be read after you’re at least familiar with the Watch novels. You don’t have to read all of them.
The Truth and Monstrous Regiment are also improved if you’ve read/are familiar the Watch novels, for different reasons.
Unseen Academicals stands alone and is very worth the read once you’re familiar with the world, though probably best read after Snuff.
Tifany Aching is connected to the Witch novels as noted, but you don’t have to read all of them to understand what’s going on.
