I looked this up and there's other screenshots floating around. And whew, they speak for themselves. This was also all apparently in the discord for the neopets subreddit and he just happened to join one day, shill his nfts, and get angry when people weren't interested.

A neopets fansite (jellyneo) had additional information available that is not really surprising from the crypto bro attitude, but still disappointing, but also amusing.

Jellyneo also had the opportunity to review some messages from a Dragginz Discord server (which again, we will not be linking here), and found some disturbing content. Apparently, Adam has only recently completed a takeover of a crypto investment group (SNS-1 DAO) so he could use it for Dragginz—but the prior server chat history is riddled with anti-LGBTQ+ comments and other disturbing content.

After his run-in with the Neopets community, Adam took to ranting in this Dragginz Discord server, posting deranged comments like "I hope they live forever in poverty," referring to commenters he encountered on a post in /r/Neopets on reddit. He also claimed in a separate comment on reddit that his game will "have a much better environment and moderation than this hell you have created." Again referring to the community and moderators of /r/Neopets and their apparent lack of love for crypto.

At time of writing, Adam has since deleted his reddit account and was banned from the /r/Neopets Discord server.

feel like this might be worth a mention but icedicedbaby2 on twitter does also provide additional news and comments on the mess that Neopets Classic site is right now. recent info i noticed from a couple days ago with NPC trying to brush off their staff being shown as racist as just "drama 🤪" before opening up sign-ups again. do as you please and take what people have to say about their experiences on the site as you will, but it's important to bear in mind it really does sound like NPC does not actually care to even try being a decent site that cares about what its userbase has to say. (especially with how it (Noah) treated an artist on the site before they left)

PSA: DONT RESET YOUR PASSWORDS (right now!!)

So upon entering neopets, you will get this:

(reset used to say rest!! functioning site)

And from what my friends have said, the reset function is not working correctly. they’ll reset, make a new password, but then ask them AGAIN to reset, causing them to have to do it all over again

and another friend mentioned you can only do it a certain amount of times in a day, so not only is it insanely bugged right now, you can potentially lock yourselves out of the account.

On top of that we still dont know if the hacker still has access to the site. TNT claimed that they patched whatever backdoor it was, but Neo_truth’s has been posting quite a bit of inside info despite their claims.

So yea, not only do we not know the current state of the breach, trying to reset your password could potentially lock you out. So for the meantime, do NOT reset your password. I would say give it a day or two before trying again. I will make sure to keep this post updated on if anything changed.

UPDATE: the neopets database leak has supposedly sold for 1 btc. None of my friends nor myself are very familiar with this site so we don’t know how legitimate this is or not, but I just wanted to give an update.

So it’s been a couple of days since this whole thing started, and password resets are STILL not working right. I have friends saying they’re still getting asked to reset after already doing it. With this, I would say if you REALLY want to go on, be VERY careful how you do it. Like I said, there’s a very real chance you can get locked out of your account and need to ticket to get back in, I’ve been seeing posts all over Reddit about people being unable to play because of this password reset fiasco.

If you really do wanna try and get back on, do NOT reset your password over and over again. I would say if it gets up to three attempts, just leave it there and try not to do it again. I understand it’s incredibly frustrating and this should not be happening, but this is unfortunately the best advice I can give :/

If anyone has any fixes I might not know about, feel absolutely free to share.

Neopets Classic: What Happened?

Hey all! Some of y’all have definitely heard the rumblings of issues regarding racism/antisemitism/other forms of descrimination with the neoclone site neopetsclassic.com I’ve posted about it a few times and I always get anons asking me to go into detail about what happened or to “prove” my claims. I never respond bc 1. I find it incredibly weird to put the onus of proof on someone who has been directly affected by that violence and 2. It’s impossible to tell who is actually concerned vs. who just wants to see the drama. That being said my lovely friend has compiled her experiences with the site and the admin team and asked me to share them on Tumblr. I apologize it’s all screenshots atm, but I will try to get the actual text for folx who rely on screen readers! For now I’ll say don’t support neopets classic (npc) don’t support people who are willingly apart of this racist team. I know some of them are on tumblr, one recently deleted but I’m sure he’ll be back at some point. If you’re looking for a good neo-clone I recommend Moderneopets, Virtupets, or Grundo’s Cafe all of which have very unique approaches to the classic neo experience and all of which have cut ties with the owner of Neopets Classic because he’s a dick.
